Per USA Today (HERE), Carl Pelini is not being given any opportunity to address the team in addition to everything else, but from the look of things, he did at least issue a statement apologizing for "poor judgment". The OC, Brian Wright, will be taking over supposedly.

"I can assure you that we have no information that suggests anyone other than these two individuals engaged in these activities," [FAU athletic director Pat] Chun said Wednesday afternoon.
I'm not sure how that comment would be relevant unless there were other athletic personnel present at the alleged social occasion. I'll leave it to the imagination but I can come up with some scenarios that would make the quick job action not so surprising.

Given this and his W-L record, I would think it would make him damn near unhireable except for a much more lowly position.
