A career day for Lloyd Brady, but...

Lloyd Brady was all over the place today.  I conservatively put him at a full 12 appearances, easily identifiable by the electric blue Under-Armorish longsleeve under this maize shirt.  As far as I'm aware, this represents a career day for Brady.  Even my girlfriend is now able to spot him in a crowd shot.  But on a day like this, some clouds need to be found in the silver linings.   Legitimate questions, I believe, need to be asked.   Hard questions to ask about an icon, but that's what I do.  I ask the tough questions others won't, like "Grape Nuts, WTF?"

So...

1.  To what extent is LB's performance simply the product of playing Minnesota?  Should we take today with a grain of salt, and reserve judgment on what kind of a season he's having until we play Sparty and the tougher opponents?

2.  We've had five games at home.  LB cemented himself in MGoBlog lore after stealing a long solo shot (looking sad) during the McGloin Rampage at Happy Valley last year.  So, queston the second:  do we need to see LB step up his performance on the road this year?

3.  Question the third: is overexposure bad for a celebrity like LB?  Great numbers today, but I admit, after about the 4-5th shot, I stopped saying "it's Lloyd Brady!  Drink!" and let the girlfriend take over.  She stopped after about 4 more sightings.  After that, I started saying, "hey, I think that tall dude is Facepalm Guy! Drink!"

"You know, for a bartender/bookie, you're pretty judgmental."

You really only know two Sean Astin movies? I was pretty sure that I was the last person in the country to actually watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but maybe you have me beat. Bravo for being unaware of Samwise Gamgee, in any case.

Samwise.  Loyal, trusty MF, that guy.  OK, counting all LOTR as 1, I know 3.

He still shows up at games and stands in the front row, and he still looks like one of the happiest people on the planet when Michigan wins.

I saw Lloyd Brady, and I was like "oh hey, it's Lloyd Brady!"  Then I had to explain to my GF who Lloyd Brady is.  Then I thought I saw Facepalm Guy (who I agree, is probably that tall, dark-haired fellow behind and slightly to the right of LB) and said, "oh hey, I think that's Facepalm Guy".  Then my girlfriend demanded to know why I  knew everyone in the crowd.  She does not Get It.

"2.  We've had five games at home.  LB cemented himself in MGoBlog lore after stealing a long solo shot (looking sad) during the McGloin Rampage at Happy Valley last year.  So, queston the second:  do we need to see LB step up his performance on the road this year?"

I would hope that Lloyd Brady is pleased with our performance on the road this year, because it seems that the team's performance is inexorably linked to his. If anything, he should perhaps work a little on some facial exercises just to get the extra mile out of the emotion on his face. I like his chances later in the season if he keeps working at it.
