A career day for Lloyd Brady, but...

Submitted by Sopwith on

Lloyd Brady was all over the place today.  I conservatively put him at a full 12 appearances, easily identifiable by the electric blue Under-Armorish longsleeve under this maize shirt.  As far as I'm aware, this represents a career day for Brady.  Even my girlfriend is now able to spot him in a crowd shot.  But on a day like this, some clouds need to be found in the silver linings.   Legitimate questions, I believe, need to be asked.   Hard questions to ask about an icon, but that's what I do.  I ask the tough questions others won't, like "Grape Nuts, WTF?"

So...

1.  To what extent is LB's performance simply the product of playing Minnesota?  Should we take today with a grain of salt, and reserve judgment on what kind of a season he's having until we play Sparty and the tougher opponents?

2.  We've had five games at home.  LB cemented himself in MGoBlog lore after stealing a long solo shot (looking sad) during the McGloin Rampage at Happy Valley last year.  So, queston the second:  do we need to see LB step up his performance on the road this year?

3.  Question the third: is overexposure bad for a celebrity like LB?  Great numbers today, but I admit, after about the 4-5th shot, I stopped saying "it's Lloyd Brady!  Drink!" and let the girlfriend take over.  She stopped after about 4 more sightings.  After that, I started saying, "hey, I think that tall dude is Facepalm Guy! Drink!"

Let me get this straight.  You don't even have 60 points, but you are telling everyone here what they should and shouldn't do?  You might want to have those control issues looked at.  Or not.

Anyway, have a great day.

You neglected the most glaring and important question: how many games do we have to win this season to save LB's job. If we let him go, who can we possibly bring in to replace him?

was introduced to LB today. Later in the game as I was working on some bbq...my roommate dan yells, "there's lloyd brady, I found him!" It was in that moment that I felt like a father watching his child ride their bike for the first time.

Just saying... I also agree the LB thing is worn out...especially since ppl claiming to be his friends say he's not overly excited about his inexplicable fame. Why don't we pick out a random hot chick in the crowd instead?

You really only know two Sean Astin movies? I was pretty sure that I was the last person in the country to actually watch the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but maybe you have me beat. Bravo for being unaware of Samwise Gamgee, in any case.

though i'm getting tired of the lloyd brady stuff (I got annoyed at myself when I saw him last year and thought " OH LOOK!" then realized what I was doing ).....

I WOULD like to know how his life has changed due to his mgoblog fame. maybe someone can get him to write an article in the newspaper or something?

standing next to 3 hot chicks, I can't imagine thats a bad thing, nor do I have proof that wouldn't happen if he wasn't LB.

He still shows up at games and stands in the front row, and he still looks like one of the happiest people on the planet when Michigan wins.
