Can We Have A New Front Page Lead Story, Please?

Submitted by MaizeMN on

I know it's been a bit slow in the MGoNews Department since the last two big commits and Kareem debacle, but seeing the Pipkins headline every time I hit F5 is starting to bring me down. So if it's not too much trouble, could the Mods put something new up, please?

Possible Choice Include:

A New Commit (this would be great, but is beyond control)

A Pictue Of Denard For No Reason (a personal favorite)

A Harbaugh Photoshop Montage (plenty of fodder for this one)

A  "There Are" Post (always nice to see and timely)

A MGo BBQ recipe (I really enjoyed these abd It IS BBQ season)

Anything positive would be welcome, and perhaps you other MGoBlog aficionados can offer some suggestions...

We're all hitting F5 on our various techo-gadgets.

Son is using his smartphone, wife is using her laptop and I got the trusty Macintosh II cranked up. Later we're going to drag the grill in here and try one of the BBQ recipes and stare at pictures of Denard for no reason, for no reason. (if either of those go up)

Because the 247 composite rankings basically do all that, so it's repetetive.  The major feature was averaging out all the sites to find a composite ranking instead of having to look at rivals, espn, scout, and 247.  Might be nice to have a simpler version that just lists the recruits brought in from around the conference, kind of a B1G recruiting roundup once a month or so.

Farnn makes a valid point. Plenty of media outlets employ this tactic. I'm not endorsing a spin doctor methodology, but it might be a plus to have a bit of "sunny" news for visitors to the blog. You never know, Rashan Gary or some other highly-prized recruit may be reading this site as we speak.

If so, Rashan please:  GO BLUE!

Here's a novel idea: neither Michigan nor Harbaugh are perfect, and you need to learn to live with that fact. Also you should probably spend your weekends doing something other than hitting f5 on a college sports website in the middle of summer

hitting F5, or visiting a college sports website in the middle of summer? Well, you know what Comrade Smartypants? Next Saturday is the GD 4th of July. Independence Day! A celebration of our right as Americans to be free and pursue happiness in any way we choose. I choose to visit a college sports website and hit F5 repeatedly. Now, get off my lawn!

Simple shout out to Brian and all the writers that support MGoBlog. I enjoy reading about the players -coaches and various teams that play for the University of Michigan. Even though I live in Pennsylvania, I still feel connected to Michigan sports by reading your blog daily. This is coming from a fan not an alumni. The money I spend supporting Michigan athletics through tickets and apparel is directly related to reading this blog......!
