Local radio reporting the commit and verified by Scout.  IIRC, Armani Reeves was supposed to be along on the visit to cbus today.  Any news on Reeves?

Edit:  Does anyone else feel a little icky that two players have been kicked off the team and one has decided to transfer just before signing day?  I guess if Meyer can't oversign in the BIG then he has to get creative to free up schollys.

How hard is it to flip kids from a place with the problems that Penn State is having, especially when the coach they hired hasn't even been able to fully assume the job yet? Poaching from Penn State is like shooting fish in a barrel.

Urban Meyer has been able to focus pretty much exclusively on recruiting since he was hired on November 28. And Ohio's class had been light before then because of the scandal and the coaching uncertainty. Meyer is really just making up lost ground.

Our class has been near-full for a while, and there aren't many 2012 kids that we're still actively pursuing. The only Penn State commit we're recruiting is Reeves. Relax, everything is going to be okay.

kind of a big deal

it sucks that Ohio didn't get hit harder by the NCAA sanctions, but with that said, it's better for us and the big 10 to have Michigan and Ohio strong.  Nothing better than beating a great Ohio team in the game.  Having both teams strong and relevant nationally is needed to battle the SEC as a top footbaw conference.

And as somebody else stated above, he's flipping recruits from MSU and PSU.  If he starts beating Hoke head to head for recruits consistently I'll worry, but it seems like Hoke and staff can handle their business very well so at this time, no concerns.

No other teams can keep up with Michigan and Ohio.  These next ten years are going to be a blast in my opinion.  We are going to have just brutal battles.  Hahaha, good luck to the rest of the Little 10. Try to keep up if you may.

That might be good news for Michigan.  I thought Penn State was the bigger threat, so with his friend leaving, it might make Armani also more apt to leave his PSU commitment.

Has a PSU visit next week.  That may help us, as it will put more distance between OSU this week and his ultimate decision.

My gut still says it is a PSU/Michigan battle, with a lean to PSU.  I think OSU was a little behind.  But we shall see.  The longer he doesn't commit to OSU, the better.

With respect to Reeves, this is mixed news, not bad news.  It probably makes OSU more appealing, since he'd have a friend there, but it probably makes PSU less appealing, since the wheels look like they're coming off of this recruiting class.

In my view PSU was more of a threat than OSU before this, so this might actually make Reeves more likely to end up in Ann Arbor.

Part of what makes us Michigan, and earned many of us the title, "Michigan Men" is that we do things our way - the right and best way - and don't worry about everyone else. I had an opposing fan tell me once that the most frustrating thing about losing to Michigan was that we didn't act like anything different was ever a possibility. Keep it together gentlemen!

Gambrell was kicked off the team for beating up his pregnant gf and Clark was kicked for his second or third dui. It's not like they were just released because Meyer didn't like them. I would say those are two solid reasons.

I remember reading that Williams and Reeves really wanted to go to school together and that was one of the reasons it'd be hard to flip Reeves to come here. Now that Williams is going to Ohio I'm really concerned that Reeves will follow.

It is easy to say Ohio's recruiting class would not be nearly what it is without the PSU situation. Ohio is flourishing from that just like we flourished from Ohio's "tatgate"
