I'm a huge Rangers fan and Ovechkin almost singlehandedly beat the Rangers in the playoffs last season. That being said, I still can't hate him...he's just too fun to watch.

Growing up in D.C. ive been a Caps fan since I was a kid. Good to see theres at least one other one on here. This is much better than most of this weekends threads. Ovie is the man. Beating Sid the kid always feels good

All of the Wings fans in here saying how much they love him will be singing a different tune if they ever have to match up against him and his antics in a playoff series. There are a lot of things about him that people don't see if you only watch highlights or a game here or there. Watch a long stretch of games or an entire series and you get a different idea about him. Great talent, no doubt about it, but I can't stand him. But hey, if he's on your team, I'm sure you love him. And no, before anyone goes down that road, it's not because he beats (or has beaten) the two teams I cheer for. He's only played one of them a handful of times (the Wings) and he has a (substantially) losing regular season and playoff record against the other.
