BYE WEEK!!!!!!

Thank you, Lord Football.

This is a wonderful football community.   I love Michigan.   But I just need this time for myself.

It's not you, it's me.   Or its we.  Whatever.

I'll see mgoblog in about 11 days-ish.    Dios Mio.

Oh, I don't know.  Have you seen the Bye Week's stats?  They're basically all zeros.  You could not suck more than that.

And yet, the Bye Week will play out of it's mind and we'll sleepwalk like there is not even a game scheduled.

I think it will come down to the last play again.

Minnesota is going to roll into town with bad QBs and a pro-style running attack. Should be just the tune up we need, we do not do well against these passing spreads.

However, "just the tune up we need" is also what I said before Akron and before UConn so what the hell do I know. PANIC

This bye could not have come at a better time. Gardner needs a week to get himself refocused, as well as learning how to take care of the football. His turnover rate is almost hilariously bad at this point.

Would not be shocked to see Minnesota pegged as a slight favorite in two weeks.

but it wouldn't remotely surprise me if Berkley Edwards plays and runs for 200 yards. That's just how this season seems to be going—regardless of how crappy our opponent appears to be based on their record, they play out of their minds against us, and it doesn't appear as though there's much of a differential in physical talent between us and them.

We used this excuse during the Rod era too. And isn't everyone playing their minds out against 'Bama, or Boise State even? It's not an excuse - good teams put bad teams away. We aren't doing that. As of right now, this team is not a good team. But they've shown promise so let's hope they mature fast.

This sucks. Waiting a whole week for the next Michigan game to erase the painful memories of the Akron turd-laying was brutal. Little did I know those memories would be supplanted by a total team meltdown against lowly UConn. I don't know how much alcohol it's gonna take for me to make it through two weeks of nightmare flashbacks of our team responding to that embarrassing performance at home by completely surrendering the point of attack on the road.

Not sure if it's shock or what, but I'm not even panicked... I'm actually surprised we've survived unscathed, and I do think there's actual talent on the offensive line that simply needs time to gel.

Derrick Green needs to get his ass in shape so we have another backfield option.

Also, it's really feeling more and more like Devin's just pressing. He's getting so impatient with the lack of success that it's just throwing the offense just enough off to make it feel like a collossal disaster.

I honestly think this is a situation where we're not as bad as we've played the last 2 weeks, and we're not as good as the team that steamrolled Central and knocked off ND.

Interview makes me more angry. I'm sick of him making excuses for the players

I'm sick of Hoke being so non-chalant about everything. This is a big deal. Gardner is playing worse than denard. The only thing we can do is run the qb option. Our O-line got pushed around it 3.5 quarters against Uconn and all game against Akron! What is happening? What happened to all those mean, physical O-linemen Hoke was recruiting?! Where's the physicality with our fronts?! I guess we all need to take a step back and analyze what's really going on. Perhaps we are just a 7 win team? Perhaps we will get crushed by MSU and OSU? Perhaps this is not reality and everything we saw is in the matrix? Who knows... I'm freaking out. That's all I know.

I blame Dave Brandon.

...we can't lose. Let's stay healthy and I'd look for changes. Hoke said the Bye Week is where you switch things up...well, it's here.

Get healthy! Stay healthy!

We need to shake up the interior. I say put Mag at RT Sho at LG and Bryant at Center and road grade some dudes. I get that a center needs to make the right calls, but if he's getting blown into the backfield or whiffing blocks all day he needs to sit. Glasgow doesn't seem to move anybody either. The middle of our OL is responsible for FOUR negative carries in the first half against a horrible team.

I swear half of it is Notre Dame freaking out from previous losses and not realizing that they actually can beat us.

If ND was the 4th game on this year's schedule and not the 2nd, they'd have crushed us.

Just observing how to properly defend DG on the Waggle would have been worth 14 points for them alone.
