I don't like that this is a reasonable topic, but the writing's on the wall, so might as well talk about it.

Strong will be less apt to overhaul the offense based on the fact that he's seen how devastating it can be at Florida.

His defensive credentials speak for themselves.

He has head coaching experience albeit only 1 year at Louisville. Looks like he's made a difference there.

2 wins against Indiana and a defnsive victory over Wisconsin in '08.  Hardly proof it works.  Over 500 yards against Iowa proves nothing.  THEY STILL LOST!!

Greg Robinson goes or I stop donating my $450 in tickets a year to the athletic department (big threat, i know).  He might be a great DC with the talent behind him, but this defense is UNACCEPTABLE (i don't even know if I'm sarcastic anymore).  Even if underserved and irrational,  there is no way we should field a defense this incompetent. /drunken emotional rant

this game sucks and its not close to what i/we were expecting.

But i still support the coach.   Greatness does not come easily nor quickly.

We are having to start players that in the past would be 3rd stringers. That will change.

I choose to remain patient.

They can say it's because of the violations, bu the fact is the length of his leash was decided by the number of wins he produced, and that just hasn't been something he's been good with.  Add up all the losses to inferior teams, and the closer than they should have been wins, and cutting ties with him just makes sense.  At WVU he was able to take the 3* and below talent he had and coach it up to do enough to win in the Big East, but I think he's found things are different in the Big 10.  What's frustrating is that he hasn't shown any signs of adapting to the conference.  If he had, things may have been very, very different.

Rich Rod is going to have NO answers. I feel bad for the guy. He abandoned his Alma Mater, obviously for Michigan- we obviously see how BIG Michigan is to the NATION. He just can NOT handle it. Has he ever really played a real Big Ten team with WVU and won? That'd be an interesting stat to look into before hiring him...

On a 3rd down play yet?  I think they have run the same 3rd down and 4 play about 3 different times now and we can't make adjustments to stop it?  That is this coaching staff in a nut shell I have yet to see any adjustments in any game which is helped us either compete or atleast be competitive in any game this year or last year against a legitimate team.  I don' want to beat a dead horse here but these are all the reason's why all of us our questioning our Head Coach, and quite honestly I believe we are all voicing legitimate concerns to the shortcomings of this team not only this year but in all the 3 years which Rich Rod has headed the ship.  I want to find a positive guys to tell me that Rich Rod is OUR guy and will be a MICHIGAN MAN but I just don't see it.....time to cut our loses before it get's even worse than it already is....

Good Lord a stop.  Maybe Rich going all Mike Gundy for once worked.  I liked the look in Gerg's eye's when Rich stepped right in front of him and started yelling.

than the bIg Tean when they hired RR.  Obviously RR had more talent and more upperclassmen, expecially on defense, but there is no excuse for not being able to even stay close to a .500 team that has struggled all season.  Especially when the QB is a fucking Walk-On.  We had two weeks to prepare for PSU and it looks like we are shocked by what they are running.  total BS.

Rich Rod- this might not be the right place to say this- but in this game, he has almost an entire quarter to come back. If he can get this game in UM's favor... and win Illinois (somehow) and Purdue (FINALLY!) and lose to Wisconsin and Blo-S-U... I wouldn't mind letting the guy have a 4th year. From what I've read in these message boards, we're focusing on a lot  defensive backs/ defensive recruits this year... so maybe he does need another year?

I still want Harbaugh, I feel bad for Rich Rod with all the crap he's gone through... MINUS losing to Toledo.

Why should we have to come back from that uninspired start that produced that gulf in the score in the first place?  Nobody's calling for RR's head just because of this game, it's just the last straw for many, the ones who waited this long anyway.  To others that are more patient, that's great.  I did my best to give him time, but he's not winning in the Big 10, therefore he's done as far as I'm concerned--it's as simple as that.  That's not sticking your tail between your legs, that's asking our team to stop repeating the same stupid mistakes.

Any predictions on when the first "Fire Rich Rod" chant begins next week? And in what section it will start?

If Michigan keeps him next year sets up as do or die with a talent loaded offense and a bunch of returning starters. The defense returns a 2-deep with just about everyone from this year so lack of experience is no longer an argument. They won't be world beaters but they absolutely HAVE to show improvement.

If Michigan fires him we get a whole new staff so we start from square one. This honestly is not that unappealing. I don't think it could be worse than the past few years.

One more thing, I think that the young Mr. Gardner is a talented enough quarterback that if they do hire a new staff they could run a spread or a pro-style offense pretty effectively.

One thing I like about Rich Rod coming to Michigan is the recruiting he brought... he brought in a variety of kids like D. Robinson and V. Smith, Toussaint, Roundtree, and Hopkins (offensively).

I Swear if Michigan scores right here. I will do 31 pushups in 31 seconds.

FUCK YES.

(And I held the end of my bet, I got down and did my 31 in 27 seconds!)

Blue- go get ONE MORE SCORE. I'll do 76 (38x2) Push ups in a minute!

Just kidding.  OK we scored and the defense got a stop, but the trend of having to come back from thre or four TDs down is getting old.  This isn't the Pac-10.

Down by 10... not going to be easy. It is doable and I do have [a little] faith in Rich Rod to score 10... but can we stop them and get the Ball back to get AT LEAST 3 to tie or will they score for us to get the ball back down by 10 again?
