Buying / Selling UM tickets thread with spreadsheet

Submitted by will on

[UPDATE 8/26/2014 from Seth:]

While the ticket spreadsheet was awesome for its time, we've known for some time that it's subject to abuse, and more likely to be damaged the more our community has grown. We've been on the lookout for some way to add a layer of security that's still free on both ends. Now we have that!

Go here: http://www.tiqiq.com/sellerdirect and sign in with your Facebook account. Then list your tickets, put MGoBlog somewhere in your description if you like, then copy the link to your tickets and paste on the spreadsheet.

Nobody's forced to use that system. This is just a protection for sellers so their price can't be changed, and for buyers so they know they're dealing with a real human with a name and pictures of their cat.

/UPDATE]

To go along with the 'more informative headlines' theme, this thread will hopefully get set as a sticky. I have made a spreadsheet listing all people selling and looking for tickets.. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Avnckx2kNv9GdGVPQXBQMDZQdFJ4RTJ… Basketball season is here.. I've started up a new sheet in the document for basketball. Ive made the permissions open to anyone to edit, so we'll try the trust method for a while until someone abuses. Feel free to post what you are looking for or selling. If it gets abused, I'll go back to the method of requiring someone to email me and then posting.

I do this periodically to clear out people's email links and keep this sticky topic relatively short. Some of you may notice you lost "mgopoints" from some weird way. It may be from me deleting your old posts here.

UPDATE: I had been keeping up with the dates, but missed posting the last one. Most recent cleaning:

I am looking for any students that would be willing to purchase student season tickets in their name and then I would purchase the tickets. My M card is still valid and I have been able to find people through friends over the past few years to do this, but everyone has seemed to graduate...

If I remember correctly the student season tickets are on sale now, and if anyone is interested please reply to this post and I will provide my email address and we can work out a deal. Or just click the link in the OP's post and my info is at the top of the spreadsheet.

Thanks

I am looking for 4 sideline tickets to the Big Chill in December. Anywhere on the sideline is fine, just don't want to be in the endzone.

I'm looking for anyone with 2 extra tickets in the student section for the Big Chill. I've been a Michigan fan for 20 years. This will be my first trip to the Big House/Ann Arbor/Mecca and I'd like to make it as memorable as possible. I'm willing to pay a reasonable price.

Recommendation: The OP/creator of the spreadsheet (which I now find useful!) should consider establishing some guidelines about its use.  Foremost, perhaps new posts should go at the top, not at the bottom.  The sheet is currently filled with a number of old posts (from 2009).  I didn't delete them (since it's not my creation), but I grayed out all the sellers from last year to make it easier for both buyers and sellers of 2010 tickets.  I also moved newer/2010 posts (or what I believe are newer posts) to the top.  And added a date column to facilitate future maintenance.

Having said all that...

I, too, am considering selling my entire season for 2010, or individual games (at face value).  First time season ticket holder, two seats, location TBD (Blue Tier: sideline between 10 yard line and back of endzone).  I will not sell the MSU game individually, but I will consider packaging it with a couple of other non-marquee games.

My entry and contact info are in the spreadsheet (see OP).

EDIT: The first time I try to open the spreadsheet, I get an error.  But it works the second time.  So keep trying!

Within the last few months I got married, almost bought a house (until it failed inspection) and started my MBA.

Unfortunately I haven't had time to worry about the spreadsheet. I am open to any suggestions that would help the MGOCommunity.

This was just a pet project I did last year  (when I had more free time) - I think Brian has something on his official to-do list that will far exceed my pathetic google doc..

Added this info to the spreadsheet but I have 4 season tickets and am looking to sell all but the MSU game.  Blue tier seats but 1st year tix so not sure exactly where they are.

Pricing depends on the game (@ Face or Face + dependent on opponent quality).  Should have tickets in hand in a couple of weeks (Aug 1st mailing according to ticket office)

email me if interested in any of the games:  [email protected]

Illinois and Wisconsin (2 each) from the Go Blue Pack (not student section)

MSU (student section- I will keep you posted whenever a pseudo-fan in my house sells their tickets so they can go to the right people)

EDIT: Only the 2 Illinois ones are left, I will update the spreadsheet accordingly

EDIT EDIT: My extra football tickets are all gone, but I'm now looking for one student hockey ticket for LSSU, both Nov. 19th and 20th.

I understand what you mean. Im still waiting on the tickets arrival but they will be student tix and I'll sell you the entire package. I feel like they should be here soon seeing as many people got them last week.  I'll post on here when my tix come in and then you can give me an email and we can work something out.

I recieved an email that individual tickets were on sale for I believe just season ticket holders and picked up some extra Wisconsin tickets for a group of me and my friends.  This left me with my original two season tickets that I will not need.  the face value is $69 each.  I am unsure where my seats are yet.  I am asking $80 a piece to cover shipping and insurance, and the extra fees that michigan gets.  you can email me at [email protected]

I still have 2 tickets for section 39.  Face value for these tickets is $52. I will accept $45 each for them.  I've sat in these seats for many years and have had no problem seeing the action.  Email me at [email protected] if you are interested.
