Just wondering if this will have any effect on the recruitment of Isaac Nauta.  Don't get me wrong I'll take Jake all day for a senior year, but do you think this hurts us or helps us with getting Nauta?  Feel like he may have thought he could come in and be the #1 guy if Butt leaves right away and now he defintely will not.

Thoughts?

to word that better, ...Nauta seems like the real thing.

After your comment and re-reading my post, i see the error in my ways. My post made it appear that he seems like a sure thing to be a Michigan Wolverine, rather than what I was thinking: that as a 5*, he'll still be a freshman and (if at Michigan) as such, wouldn't be as complete a player as Jake already is.

My bad.

Jake Butt is a Michigan Man whether is stayed or left, but when you stay we always remember what you did for the team, teammates and school.  Congrats and I always like Mo booty.

Apparently, the site is now hampered due to fantastic news regarding Butt. Normally, that's the sort of news that might bring other sites under some level of scrutiny, but being that this is MGoBlog, it makes sense. It's definitely good news though - another season with Jake out there promises to be exciting, I think.

This is big for next year. Whoever is QB next Fall has a proven, reliable target they can go to.

Now if we can couple that with Chesson's further progression (he has another year of eligibility, right?), I think the passing game could be in pretty darn good shape next season.

I am super torked up about a majority of our players staying.

JBooty88 is going to have a great year & this is continuing to build the foundation of the future.
