Brad Stevens proves again he is one of the best coaches in the nation.
As a Butler Alum... Go Dawgs!!!
and Go Blue against WVU tonight!!!!
Up to number two if we beat wvu
Damn this IU-Butler finish is coinciding with a hell of a Arizona-Nevada bowl finish.
I'm hoping Butler wins just so the "JINX!" goons get reminded that superstition is dumb.
That was a great finish to the Zona/Nevada game. Video game-esque. I'm actually happy for RR
Soooo. Michigan #2 come monday?
I don't hate you anymore
Holy shit....great game.
One day will decide to get PAID!!! What a coach....always has his team ready to play!
Wow. That was an amazing game. How can any neutral observer not like Butler and Coach Stevens at this point? That was just an amazing performance. You know what, scratch that. That was a tremendous performance.
for that Butler guy to be wearing his sunglasses.
I cannot fucking believe this. Such an amazing comeback and win. 150 yards, 10 plays, 90 secs and 14 points. Holy fuck.
Brad Stevens is one hell of a coach.
Barring any letdowns by our guys, we could grab the No. 1 spot with a win in Columbus in January. Both Duke and us play nobody until the 12th/13th weekend, when they go into NC State, and we go into C-Bus
Zeller dissapeared! Butlers THREE bigs all fouled out, and yet IU lost. That is on him. Overrated
I wouldn't say overrated but after watching today, I don't think Morgan/McGary/Horford should have a problem with him.
A player of the year candidate needs to own that lineup. He didn't.
Take care of business against WVU tonight and this will be a pretty good Saturday.
Going to the game tonight? Would love to be there.
Well it appears that in 4 years Hulls still hasn't learned how to defend, getting an isolation with him on Burke should be fun to watch.
Getting Hulls in iso period works. That was a walkon who was averaging under a bucket a game who took him on Butler's last shot.
Kept waiting for Butler to crack especially after the foul trouble and comebacks Indiana had. Great game to watch. It amazes me what Brad Stevens is able to get out of his players. Keep wondering how long he'll stick around there before heading to a bigger job. He's definitely been targetted quite a few times over the last couple years.
Good for Butler. I don't think Indiana should have been number 1 anyway.
As long as we take care of business tonight, we'll probably be 2nd in the rankings, which is still insanely high for such a young team. But I'm not going to complain about it.
I think brad Stevens does a great job identifying and developing talent. However, I think his in game coaching is truly elite and it showed today in multiple points. I wonder if he keeps this up for few more years if he will be in contention for the duke job after coach k retires or maybe uconn if they don't retain their interim coach.
I have 3 monitors mounted on the TV Wall, the biggest one in the middle with the smaller 2 flanking it.
The reason I bring this up is cause I have the football games on the smaller sets and one has a blue field while the other has a red field, in a word......STUPID, I mean come on, it hurts the eyes and I think maybe on the verge of giving me a headache.
Does anyone else agree with me that the NCAA should make a rule that all fields should be green, you know, like grass is supposed to look? I know that it's the fake stuff but still, it's just bad TV and gimmicky, if you want to be taken seriously as a program, make your field green IMHO.
GET OFF MY (BLUE) LAWN!
This IU loss to Butler is exactly what could have happened to M against Pitt. The Pitt game is going to end up being one of M's best wins of the year.
True, but that IU win over Kentucky was awesome.
It's an indiana thing. I live here and fans overrate everything. Hell our birds shit smell better than Michigan's birds.
The IU win just happened in such incredible fashion. I just re-watched that final shot and it still gives me chills and almost brings tears to my eyes, and I'm nothing close to an Indiana fan. Just an unforgettable moment.
I was really hoping Michigan and Indiana would both still be undefeated on Feb 2.
When IU went up 4 in OT, I thought for sure that Butler was done.I love watching that team play because they never quit and never back down. Brad Stevens is amazing. Go Blue!
when it's all said and done, he could outdo Kryzaskehasewski. . .
Nice, Duke and Mich. will now be 1-2, making my MGoBlog screenname a portmanteau of college basketball dominance. Mwahahaha!! :D
The Michigan Difference!
if the B1G went nuts and started bringing in associate members like JHU for lacrosse and Toronto for hockey, I would imagine Butler would get a look for basketball.
Michigan has a reasonable shot at going into it's game vs. Ohio on my birthday as the #1 team in the country if NC St. can knock off Duke (in Raleigh) on the 12th.
