Thats makes sense for Minnesotta. I don't really feel bad for Trey since he'll be a multi millionaire but, playing in Utah is bleh

I don't think he cares. He's getting paid an exorbitant amount of money to play the game he loves. If he decides down the road that Utah isn't the place for him, then he can get traded. If he's worth his salt in this league, he'll be able to go anywhere he wants.

There is an ample amount of salt in Utah. As a Jazz fan I am very excited about this move. I think Trey can fill a great need for the team. I have also heard that the Jazz are actively pursuing John Stockton as an assistant coach. So, maybe Trey can learn from one of the best point guards.

This will be great for Utah and Burke. Despite the coaching change, they still love the Stockton style pick & roll and that's Burke's bread & butter.

Actually seems like a pretty good situation for him as well. Good team, should get some playoff experience relatively quick, good for him. P.S. Fuck you Pistons, Fuck you

When Burke was still available when the Pistons were picking I was hoping so much they would pick him. Would have been so amazing to root for his team and have him stay in Michigan

Go Jazz. I'll be pulling for Trey Burke forever. He is one of my favorite Michigan athletes and I hope he makes those 8 other teams regret passing on him tonight.

Also, I'm done with the Pistons. They suck and I hope they suck forever.

Trey has always played with a chip on his shoulder. You better believe he will in the NBA. I have no doubt in my mind he will be a very good player for the Jazz. I am now a Jazz fan forsure.

I like the move for the Jazz--their 3 point guards are a combined nine million years old.

I also don't mind the pick for Trey. Deron Williams parlayed some years in SLC to a nice contract with the Nets. And not that I would be worried about this with Trey, but he certainly won't be distracted by the vibrant night life. At least after 8:30 p.m., that is.

Congrats, Trey!

It's been three months. But after the passage of time and the heartbreak of loss, I can say with certainty that these words will always give me chills:

"Burke. Fires, for THREE...The game is tied!"

May it often be.

Bias aside, Joe Dumars really screwed this up. Pistons need a true point guard or a scoring small forward, they have too many natural 2 guards - Brandon Knight, Rodney Stuckey, Kim English (However, I would have loved the Macklemore draft pick). With Trey and Michael Carter-Williams on the board, it was almost a cant miss - just take a point guard... Joe Dumars needs to be fired. His good draft picks, Andre Drummond and MAYBE Greg Monroe, were luck. This team is going no where without a gm that is competent, and an owner that shows up for things and cares.

Perhaps their New Orleans origin might make the moniker more coherent?

Still don't know why they didn't change their name when they moved from Louisiana to Utah in 1979.

I was a Magic fan when Shaq and Penny Hardaway were doing things down there and that's exactly how I felt after they drafted Webber and then traded him. Could you imagine Shaq, Penny and CWebb together?!!! Why didn't that happen!!!! Grrrrrrr!!!!

My friends out here that are Jazz fans are thrilled. Utah was in desperate need for a pg. they might be the youngest team in the league next year, depending in who they get to round out their roster, as they only have 6 players under contract right now. He's going to get thrown right into the fire and this team will probably struggle for a bit, but could be fun to watch.

Joe Dumars=worst GM in league.  Let's look at his draft history failures...Cleaves, White, Daye, Stuckey, Darko, Maxiel, Knight. I know the only game I'll go to is when Utah comes to town so I can root on Burke.

Enjoy the unlmited nachos in your suite, you fat ass!

Lifelong Michigan fan...but Pistons I'm so frustrated with tonight. Burke could have gone six...falls to Pistons...and Dumars craps his pants and picks a player almost no one has heard of. Ugh. Thank goodness for Michigan sports.
