Burke & THJ NBA Draft Workout Videos

Burke: Solidly in the Top 5 and nothing in this workout shows otherwise. That balancing-dribbling drill looks quite difficult and speaks to his drive to get better durability for the long NBA seasons. How effectively he handles NBA length will determine how big a star he will be but his work ethic ensures he will reach his full potential. THJ: Biggest knock is his handle and I'm not sure what these drills reveal about that. Against VCU's press he handled the ball frequently and quite well. But other times this was an issue and I think this was just part of the inconsistency shown throughout his career. Being a hard worker I think we'll see him only get better and more consistent, really making a name for himself in the NBA. His shooting will be a big plus and it speaks to his conditioning that he was able to put up so many shots in a row while maintaining his form and range.

According to a few articles I have seen anyway, the Magic are basically thinking either Burke or McLemore at this point. The Magic are looking for backcourt help, and their general manager has actually come out and said that they would like leaders and players who are "about the right things" (his words). That probably bodes well for Burke and the potential for him to go to the Magic, but much depends on what Cleveland does first and foremost as well as what the Magic think of McLemore, if indeed those are Orlando's primary choices. Burke actually is scheduled to work out for the Magic, and Nick Baumgardner reported that he might work out for anything up to four teams.

I've never seen a UM bball player with as many twitter groupies as Burke. If he wasn't in the gym all the time, he'd be killing it with the ladies. Probably already is.

Both looked solid.  I agree that Hardaway's handle is still a question, but the NBA always has room for a tall guy with decent range.  Burke looks good, though the Iverson comparisons (including his own) seem a little strained.  Iverson was a freak athlete with a near-invincible body.  Burke is a good athlete, but he's not in that mold.  He's a far better shooter as well.
