that he's running for re-election and pretending it's some sort of momentous statement. Who cares when Trey announces, and what he says? It's a done deal regardless.

if these kids could make their announcements on their own without someone leaking it first, but good luck Trey! You're leaving us with some of the best memories of the past quarter century of Michigan hoops! You've earned it!

Trey ranks right up there on my personal top UM hero list of Desmond Howard, Charles Woodson, Brendan Morrison, Marty Turco and Tom Brady.  It was a true honor to have him represent my school and although I will miss watching him play for us, I wish him all the success and hope he has a great career in the NBA.

Thanks Trey!  Go Blue!

Thanks for helping rebuild the program.  He definitely has to go, his stock can't get any higher.  He will look back very fondly at these last two years, especially since the NBA does not treat undersized guards too well.  Wishing him the best but it will be an extreme test at 6ft 0in.

I would like to think a Chris Paul or dare I say Allen Iverson career is the ceiling for him but that may be wishful thinking.  A Damon Stoudamire type career is probably more likely and nothing to dismiss as Damon could get hot an light it up back in the day.  I do see him finding his niche, just maybe not the star role he has become accustomed to the last couple years.

It has been quite the honor having Trey Burke in Ann Arbor these past two years, and he has been instrumental in taking this program achieve at a level that we have not seen it at in a long time. He truly is a special talent and he will be remembered here for a long time - as he should be. Good luck at the next level, Trey - whichever team chooses you will be getting a great playmaker.

His stock will never be higher than what it is now. I would have been STUNNED if he actually came back for another year. Thank you for a wonderful two years Trey, and good luck in the NBA. Hopefully, my Pistons will be in poisiton to draft you.

Yeah too bad he can't make the announcement himself. It has to break a day early. Trey Burke has done everything right for his team and his school. I wish him the best with his pro career. He's the best I've seen in my lifetime playing Michigan basketball.

Who cares who broke the news. Everyone knew he was going pro. Good luck young man! Get your degree part time.

I cringe because we miss how good he might have become (e.g., Darius Morris).  Not in this case.

We saw the highest level, and lo, it was mighty.  Maybe there exists a higher level of college basketball, but not on this planet.  Good luck, #3, you've flat run out of things to prove as an individual player.

Finally a reason to watch the NBA. Our last Top 10 guy was Tractor Traylor - wow, it's been awhile
