There are some legitimate comparisons in characteristics, like the fact that they are both immensely more talented at such a young age than what the typical 18 and 19 year old first year players are. The both of them are very effective and have the heart or that will to win, a specialty that cannot be taught in any manner. However Iverson was much more quicker than Burke, though Trey is such a heady player the combination of his sound decision making and play making ability not to mention his tremendous range kind of neutalizes that difference. Also if Trey has a sophomore season of this magnitude next year then like Ivo I expect him to leave and be a first round pick though probably not the first pick. The most important difference for me is that Burke is much more mentally stable and not the hot head Iverson is. I do not know how that will translate to the court on the next level but at least you will not be hearing about Trey smacking someone in the face with a bar stool. He will be one of the better ambassadors of the game and I wish him all the success in the future but for now I hope he brings that national championship to Michigan before he decides to leave which by his Junior year I know he can accomplish.
fair point that
