Bunting may prove to be more difficult to overthrow than Funchess

Submitted by Wolfman on

Even with a tweeked hammy, Bunting put up a 33" vertical at the opening. Add that to his 6'6" height and he might prove a bitch for ilbs to cover, especially inside the ten. Think you might see him and another of our taller receiver, i.e., Funchess together when we're inside the ten.  Pick your poison.

and don't really give a fuck, but as a whole I would have to conclude you are the most arrogant bunch of Michigan fans found on one forum in the www.  Have to believe the majority here know a whole hell of a lot more about English Comp than they do M football.  Jaheezus people, if you don't like something that's written ignore it. I'm not looking for any points, be they negative or positive. Will not apologize for trying to share information I thought might not have been posted already.  Inasmuch as I don't "Set on this site" like many others, I guess I'll just visit rather than attempt to contribute because all you Big Bangers seem to have that pretty well covered, although only a little of what I find interesting. My apologies and happy 4th.

Michigan fans are generally stereotyped as an arrogant bunch.  This being the the highest concentration of Michigan sports fans on the web would lead one to believe that you are correct in your assertation that MGoBlog is thus "the most arrogant bunch of Michigan fans found on one forum in the www ."  So you win that round.

That being said, a lot of people here appreciate your input, hence why your post is still standing.  Additionally, a lot of people (including some of those same appreciative ones), like to bust people's chops when it comes to grammar and other nitpicky things as such.  It's just how forums on the internet work in general and it's mostly just in good fun.  You just have to say "whatever, douchebags" to yourself, make any edits if absolutely necessary, and move on.  It's when you go on the offensive by posting a long paragraph like you did saying that you don't really give a fuck that turns you into the bad guy and validates any board bullying that was going on beforehand.

I know you don't really care, but as a long timer here who's watched people like you who joined around the same time as me slowly stop contributing and eventually fall off the site due to miniscule stuff like this, I just wanted to put in my two cents.  Best to just embrace and enjoy the quirks and character of the MGoBoard than to become jaded by it.

Btw - Happy 4th to you, too!

I'd wait to see how Bunting is in coverage with pads on first, before jumping to conclusion based off a vertical jump.

and probably think you're cool. 6'6" with a 33 gets you to a certain vertical point. You can do the math on the rest, especially if we have an OC that employs someone on the other side of the offense that demands attention. That was my only point. When you employ one, two, possibly three of this type inside the 10 simple math dictates you have an advantage somewhere because the defense will NOT break with three defenders suited to match, and that was the point I was trying to emphasize.  Many went nuts for no apparent reason and I had a great fourth......still going actually and she'll be here when I wake up.

Apparently no one saw bunting catch that skinny post in between coverage. He showed great concentration and athleticism. That was a big time catch against some top recruits. He doesn't look like a kid with another year of high school. This kid will be an NFL player for sure, barring injury.

My old ones were short guys, I must make amends.

Worked hard all my lifetime, no help from spread trends.

So oh lord, won't you buy me a pair of Tight Ends.

Sorry Janis, but Al is a good guy, he deserves them.

I really like the philosophy of the coaches as far as valuing height with good speed over just elite speed. There are always going to be DBs with crazy speed who can match the receivers, particularly when we meet Ohio or an SEC team in a bowl, but there will rarely be a DB who can out jump a 6'4" receiver who has a step or two on him just due to a well run route. I'm expecting us to be number one in red zone efficiency at the very least.

a significant part of the passing offense.  Over the years, we've very seldom employed one to a large extent other than blocking.  Even Tuman didn't really catch a ton of balls.  I almost think Tyler Ecker was one of the most athletic, but he always seemed to be injured.  But Bunting could be an excllent one, at least if he puts on some weight.
