That is great news. With him missing Pitt last weekend and now tosu hopefully it can only mean good things for us! Thanks for the info. I needed to hear something positive.

Chances of landing Christian and Grimes are about the same...I'd say slightly higher with Christian as opposed to Grimes, but only b/c I'm wondering how the coaches are feeling about still honoring the package deal with Grimes and his teammate since schollies are at a premium. Dior's ship has sailed. If the early enrollee rules hadn't change they may have still taken him, but like Magnus referred to in other threads... 11 corners for 2 spots on the field is a bit of overkill.

Christian and Grimes are both probable, Mathis is sort of an unknown. It would be nice to have all three. Lou Holtz knows we need numbers back there. I would rather grab one of the safties Tony Jefferson or Rashad Knight. Thinking about depth next season... SS: Kovacs/Williams...Smith/Emilien/Gordon...Knight/Jefferson!?...Johnson/Jones FS: Turner/Woolfolk CB: Warren CB: Turner/Woolfolk...Christian...Grimes, Floyd, Jones, Rogers, r.s. - Avery, Talbott

I simply made a fucking statement that I don't understand why we have not offerd a prospect from our own state, who has multiple offers from great programs in a postion where we lack depth, never once did I fucking say our recruiting sucks

This is great news, enough said. Even after a down year and in the midst of another, we are still having a good (not great) recruiting year. Nothing official, but I like our odds with CC and Grimes as well as a few others.

I know he favored M for a long time. Then he seemed to waiver some just recently. Deep down it sounds like he still may favor M. I also gotta believe early playing time will weigh significantly in his decision. Sounds like we have a really good shot at him now with the two recent non-visits. His mind may be already made up. GO BLUE!

It's funny you bring this up. Cullen sent me a text a little while ago, and said Ohio State cancelled the visit on him. He doesn't know why, but isn't happy about it. They told him they want him to wait for his visit, and that he should push back his commitment date. He replied with an emphatic no.

They probably thought that they had no chance with him and so thought that they'd try this to gauge his interest. I think we get him and I'm very happy about this. Thanks Tom.

I think in two years when Christian return a pick for a touchdown against OSU ending their season and sending Michigan to the Rose Bowl, or BCS championship game, we should put this post on a plaque hang from the side of The Big House and call it something snazy that I can't think of right now because it's five o' clock and I'm at work about to leave out the door.

If your a school going after a recruit , how do you pull something like this? And especially since we are in the day and age of all the internet networking. News is not kept quiet for long. It seems that this, in maybe a very small way, could negatively affect their recruiting down the road wit some other kid.
