The Buckling Up Process

Submitted by ggoodness56 on
Is there not a man among us that can explain the buckling up process? There is a lot of moaning and groaning from the blog from fans everywhere...waiting for recruits to rain down upon us. Are there tea leaves? Do I stay strapped in completely 24/7...quit my job, etc??

Who is your go-to Twitter account that's a guaranteed buckle up commit is coming? It seems like it's a race to see who can find the commit before the blog announces. Do any of you work inside the Harbaugh circle...INTEL??

Is Sam Webb all I need??

Chill and let good things come to those who wait.

On a side note, yes I hopped on mgoblog as soon as I got to work, full of hope.  This'll be pretty quick.

If you want rumors then you can follow twitter but it's mostly morons posting for clicks and attention IMO.  I say mostly don't need to hear about the few we trust and like as the exceptions.

Here is a novel idea. Don't buy subscriptions to those recruiting services, let the coaches and players handle the recruiting, and just wait for signing day. Also, it's really unhealthy to obsess about the decisions of a bunch of high school boys.

I guess I don't understand football athletes.  I could not have said yes fast enough if a former pro head coach with super bowl experience and the coaching track record he and all of his assitants have gave me an offer.  Coach H  "We want to..."  Player "YES"  Coach "Let me" Player "YES YES YES!!!"

MGoFeed on Twitter is the most useful tool I've found. Have updates sent to your phone via text. Any new thread on here is a clickable text. No need to F5 or keep checking here unless it's something you need to read.

I started using the tool during the coaching search and didn't turn it off. I'd guess4-6 texts an hour unless things are happening then more. It also made me appreciate the work the Mods do to clear the clutter since every new thread shows up on the feed but a good deal are gone before I log on.

I'm happy with how MGoBlog filters and correlates the news for me.  I've got a pretty intense job and other things to do.  Chasing twitters doesn't seem necessary or productive.

I did the twitter thing for about a week and decided it was nuts.

If you listen to Sam Webb in the morning you are getting everything.  Then if you read Ace's articles on MGoBlog you get a routine recap of everything that keeps it all fresh and organized in your mind. That's plenty.
