Buckle Up Prediction Thread
By now, we all know about TomVH's "Buckle Up" tweet. For fun, what are everyone's predictions of what that will mean over the next 2-3 days?
To kick it off, my prediction:
1. Kalis commits today.
2. Dunn decommits OSU today and is Blue by Sunday.
3. Wilson today or tomorrow.
4. The next Hello: _____ post garners over 200 responses.
That's my prediction. Anyone else? And, of course, joke predictions, pictures of cats and the like are both welcome and expected . . .
I'm more optimistic about Thurston than others are. People think he's an automatic Nebraska lock because he visited twice but he visited twice because the first time he never got a chance to see campus. I'm not banking on him to commit but it's very possible.
Yeah, but reading his last interview at Scout, it sounded as if he was Nebraska-bound. I think we have a shot but it would be a mild surprise if he went blue. Well find out shortly anyway.
If he were going to commit to Neb, why not do it on the visit? Yes, some kids like to do the presser thing, but many today seem to enjoy giving the news to the coach in person and then being pointed at by said coach.
Don't be so quick to write him off to Neb.
By the way, how would you compare him to some of the others that we are recruiting for the same spot?
One reason to not commit on a visit is just to get a chance to sleep on it. I imagine things can be overwhelming when you're on campus and you might be prone to make a rash decision. If he wants to commit and still feels the same way a week later then he's probably making the right call.
If we can get Thurston, then let's do it. He can play both tackle spots, and is a consensus 4-star to all sites.

Brian has discovered that Jim Tressel was tweeting naked pix of himself to his fiancée, and the wedding is totally off.
Jim will respond to these allegations to Brian, by saying, "Brian, I had no idea that I was actually hitting the reply button on my phone. I didn't know which proper channels to deliver this information to, and the last thing I wanted to do was be involved in some sort of scandal..."
Kalis will get on board before the weekend is over.
Wormley and Wilson commit today. Kalis commits tomorrow. Diamond and Dunn commit on Monday. That would be seatbelt-worthy!
It would take a lot more than a seatbelt to contain me from that.
That would be INSANE. The best part is that I think that we actually lead for all of those players. Could this class be over 20 within a week?

Which is worth nothing:
1) Wilson commits today.
2) Wormley tomorrow.
3) Dunn publicly decommits from OSU tomorrow.
4) No new Kalis news, but on Monday (maybe late Sunday night) Tom posts an interview with Kalis where he raves about everything (coaches, facilities, campus, players, fellow recruits, etc), but concludes with something like, "Michigan is definitely in theleader, but I'm still going to take a visit to Alabama and Miami (YTM)."
5) He will actually say, "Parenthesis, why-tee-em. parenthesis" after the word "Miami" which will cause some MGoCommenters to refer to him henceforth as "Kyle Kalis (pbuh)."
decides to add an additional 100k seats to the big house along with a maize field for the night game vs. ND.
Gunner Kiel all but says Oklahoma is too far and it'd be too wierd to compete for the same spot against his brother. I think that leaves Michigan, which is only a four hour drive from home . . .

Actually, it's all being blown out of proportion. Tom's just really excited about Cars 2.
Some of us are going to get in a wee bit of trouble over a profound dip in productivity at the old workplace......

the whole "buckle up" thing actually is a safety warning. TVH is predicting that Dunn will announce his decommitment and he and Kalis will simultaneously commit to M. The entire city of Cbus will implode, causing an earthquake to rumble all the way through AA. Everyone get your helmets too.

My Predictions:
- None of get done nearly as much work as we had planned on doing earlier. **
- Something happens to someone that Michigan is recruiting and when it happens new posts will be made to speculate on what this means.
- We hear at least 50 more people posting about roller coasters, bumpy rides, or Tom reminding people to be safe while driving.
- The names Wilson, Wormley, Kalis and Dunn become more used than condoms between the mgocommunity.
- Tom eats 3 bags of popcorn while reading both threads committed to his 2 word tweet while chuckling at our predictions.
- 3 or more of us decide that we should take up smoking as it is far less addictive than this site.
**Unless of course your work depends on you driving between places in which case you now feel you are expected to speed between stops to check for a commitment here. Whilst being buckled up as Tom suggested that you do.
Not a cat picture, but:
BUT we all have to look at this objectively and not put all the cart before the horse! Kalis is going to take his time and not be too hasty...besides according the some Miami sites they are CHOMPING at the bit to get him on campus and are pulling out their big guns!! Dunn on the other hand is the sleeper in my eyes....i think he will want to stick it to tOSU then back it up on the field. Wilson and Wormly are dark horses....a majority saying Wormly is a lock to us might need that seatbelt if he thumbs his nose at us...and Wilson who knows.
TomVH listens to Joe Rogan podcast?
95% sure Tom means Kalis. He's been quick to jump in whenever somebody here has been the least bit pessimistic about getting him. His commitment would cause the biggest stir of those that seem plausible.
Wormley and/or Wilson would be nice too.
