Bacon was on with Sam this morning and he didn't say anything about something happening today. He guessed it could happen in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully the whispers just hadn't reached him yet.

The papers are talking about the presser now, as others have now mentioned, but the Freep article had this gem regarding the July Regents meeting (i.e., where the fireworks were shot down):
"Board members also were upset Brandon did not show up for the public portion of the meeting, instead having a university facilities employee answer questions."
Dave Brandon is probably one of the few ADs who would send who is more likely to answer the criticisms of the Regents with, "OK, so it is agreed that we will switch the mowing of the grass near the natatorium to Thursdays, correct?"
