Does that count?
Where are you returning from?
Just got done doing some "banking"?
better declare those gold bricks and drug money in your secret Swiss accounts
UBS and smaller banks have passed along info to the IRS and DOJ as well.
That's pretty cool. What were you there for?
Who is this you speak of ???
Grant Newsome. 4* OL. Offers from LSU, Bama, et al. Two horse race between Mich and PSU. Sounding good for the good guys, though.
How does this affect roster balance?
How does this affect Gardner's medical redshirt?
Michigan needs some numbers in this class at OL, especially without getting huge numbers from last year's class. I always prefer 6 OL per every two cycles, so they'll still be below that, but this at least balances out the OL numbers a bit so we aren't as likely to end up with 1 scholarship upperclassman offensive lineman in the future.
So despite your comment being sarcastic, this is a benefit if it comes to fruition that he picks Michigan.
God, that was so long ago.
That was the first name that came to my mind too. I think I was more disappointed about losing him than any other recruit. Jeez that was like another life.
And we got tater. Amazingly tater had the better "career".
Hindsight being 20/20, I like what Michigan got instead.
Two QBs, one is cemented in history forever and one whose records will never be touched, most likely.
Newsome transferred out of PSU to Temple and would ultimately quit Football with eligibility left.
There was a lot of hope in North Philly after Newsome transferred and sat out his year that he would end up a solid contibutor. Then HC Steve Addazio wouldn't know what to do with an elite athlete if he came with instructions.
I'd say that Newsome's university "career" worked out better than Tate despite the numbers; he's got a Temple degree. Tate, sadly, got cut by my beloved Hamilton Tiger Cats.
Kevin Newsome, DUH! Michigan or PSU. This is a big time QB so BUCKLE UP!
I thought he was leaning towards PSU.
other day. I believe Malzone may have been around too. Good things can happen.
Pisa, NOT PSU.
Buckle up also on the 15th of June. There could be a basketball commit around then.
Derryck Thornton, Jr.?
to start a pipeline at that "school?"
Where are you hearing this?
.com has an interview up.
Everyone: read that article.
It sounds like he is a good possibility also. Maybe not as fast as Thornton but it sounds like they are good friends and would like to play together.
Success is really paying off for Beilein.
The Michigan basketball blog. That ends in hoops and starts with um.
That would be HUGE. He just tore it up at our camp. His highlights are fantastic.
The icing on the cake will be that Michigan overcame James Franklin telling Newsome that Hoke won't be around next year.
roundup that Franklin was saying that and it had Newsome thinking. I think Malzone, Hoke and Nuss convnced him that is not happening.
Can't wait for the Urban Meyer James Franklin he said/he said pissy pants press conferences about dirty recruiting on signing day unless Bo Pelini demolishes signing day first
I knew adding Rutgers to the BIG was going to pay off!!!!
as if Penn State, Ohio, and Michigan weren't stealing people from Virginia, Maryland, and New Jersey enough before. Rutgers and Maryland might as well just accept that they're going to be playing 2nd, 3rd, or 4th fiddle in their own state
if its Newsome
OP, I think I'm too old or dumb to understand your explanation of where you saw this. Any chance you could point us to the particular tweets/URLs you're looking at?
if we landed Newsome. I'd be happy for two reasons:
1. Great recruit
2. Because PSU's Franklin is such a little snake
??? I couldve swore that on this mornings recruiting roundup that he said his gut was Newsine to psu. Did anyone else hear this?
Maybe, but he had a conversation with Newsome that convinced him that the pendulum may have swung back to Michigan. I guess we will see soon enough.
Ok. So this is a development the past 10 hrs. Good. though i was wondering if when we have the good season ahead that jenkins would come back our way.
At least one of the PSU recruiting message boards seem to agree that momentum might be in our favor. Although grain of salt, etc. etc. It's possible their own guys simply got that from lurking over here.
But the PSU community is definitely picking up on the potential shift.
Quite the 30 minute roller coaster ride for you.
Buckling up would be a good idea.
In drivers seat for Thornton and Battle in his opinion but in even better position for Newsome. Decision Monday but could come sooner.
Sam also said he thinks Roseboro is looking good yet and that the Jacques Patrick visit was outstanding.
did he say it was a gut feeling this morning?
He said the concerns put in his mind by Franklin were resolved and it was kind of insinuated that barring some major change in attitude in the next few days it's almost certain. Newsome has a interview blackout until he decides which could be any day but it sounds like it's as much of a guarantee as it can be without him saying "I'm going to Michigan."
BWI thinks he is leaning toward Michigan.
