I mean, I'm always glad when a kid wants to go to Michigan, and he's a Wangler, and coaches know best, but do we really need another linebacker? We've already got three committed, we took three last class, we still have four from last year's freshmen even after some attrition, and we've only got four junior and seniors leaving us the next two seasons. Furthermore we only play three LBs at a time. Certainly there must be a position of greater need. Again I'm glad for him that he's got the opportunity, and I think he should take it and come to Michigan, but I just don't get the offer in the first place.

He certainly wouldn't be the most exciting pick up, but I do think he's a kid that can help the team and may develop into a player if all works out. At the end of the day, it never hurts to take a few guys in this case, ones that will play some special teams for you, ones that are just kind of the hard nose football guys. Now, I don't think he has the upside of some of the other guys, but I could also see him potentially being a starter one day if he reaches his ceiling and some of the other higher ceiling guys don't. So, in essense, I don't think it's a throw away offer for some guy to come in and play special teams, but if that's the worst that comes from this then that's also alright.

So is this like when someone breaks off a relationship for the purpose of entering into a relationship with someone else but feels bad enough about breaking it off that they try to conceal the fact? Or will he just commit already?
