Buckeye Videos mock Harbaugh rap video

So our cooler-pooping, mouth-breathing rival to the south, THEE ohio, has decided to put out a video to mock JH's recent rap video.  Apparently the offseason is even slower for them than it is for us.  Here is the DetNews link.

Whenever Buckeye fans talk trash or mention the latest score, I usually just respond "58-48" (the all time record).

Yes, I realize that by leaning on history I'm ignoring the beatdown our program has recieved over the past decade, but is it really grasping at straws to respond in this manner?  I mean, UM has had periods of dominace too (see the '90s).  This recent history just happens to be an OSU upswing... that hopefully is now at an end (o' please o' please for the love of god let it be at an end).

I still consider Michigan's football program superior to Ohio State's.  And yes, I am arrogant about it dammit.

I mean, I'm all about the all-time record and everything, but that needle has inched rapidly towards Ohio State in the last 15 years. Also see: Michigan State as of late. Honestly, probably need to start winning a few before the rivalry game swagger stick comes out again.

Which is why the critique of this goofy video seems pretty well placed, honestly.

Duno why people insist that the OSU players were trading for tattoos in a drug den (the tattoo parlor thing was a cover; DEA agents were the ones to spot the OSU players and tell Tressel, because they knew this was a drug den and they had it under surveillance).  I don't think that player trading game souvenirs for drugs is the worst thing ever (sexual misconduct is far worse), but this was never about tattoos.

You are right about the Michigan team preperations, though.  I put that on the coaches; Devin Gardner could not have better prepared himself.

People insist on saying they were trading their souvenirs for tattoos because that's what they were doing. It may not be the worst thing they could do, but it's still against NCAA rules. The primary reason they got caught was the tattoo/drug pin guy told an attorney that he had been trading tattoos for merchandise from players. The attorney emailed Tressel and told him. Those emails were then found during the investigation. If they were trading for drugs, I'm sure it would have been exposed in the emails or the DEA would've discovered it. I wish it never would've happened. There's a good chance Tressel would still be there and they wouldn't have Meyer as their coach.

i realize most posters on blogs and message boards are young. but one day when you have some history behind you, you will understand that all seasons count, not just the ones that make you look good.

    from 1970 to 2007 michigan beat msu 30 out of 38 games. and even with this recent uptick by msu , they are still 7-7 in the last 14 games.

   from 1985 to 2000 michigan was 12-3 with one tie against osu. do who think osu`s tone was the same then? now i lived through those years so i see how it can change. and believe me it will.

People in general lime to make themselves feel better by ignoring their failures or failures of those associated with them and only focus on their successes. Not every fanbase feels the need to constantly promote their rivals.

Don't forget either Dualthreat and anyone else that if UM didn't finally let the sucknuts back into the rivalry, things could be very different. It could easily be a 68-38 or 65-41. Think how bad they would hate UM then. I'm thinking bad enough to uproot and destroy certain special trees around an anoymous stadium with something to do with horses! Horses and trees...how in the hell does that work anyway? Who gives a shit. All a buncha low lifes.

That's some good rivalry trolling.  That's what sports is all about.  I have no problem with it.

If Ohio State mattered enough to me, I'd make a video of last year's OSU - MSU game or of Cooper's perpetual dumbfounded look or of Desmond's pose and Herbstreit's prone Morelli moment.

But they don't matter enough to me.

In case you were curious, all the counters were the state game and OSU game (like 80% of them). Harbaugh freak out against Oregon state (I believe the first game of 3 straight shutouts). The HORROR (not sure why something 10 years ago was relevant). OSU winning the national championship (before Harbaugh was coach). Denard lying on turf again OSU (no clue when this was).

That's all I remember. I give it a 3/10. Be better if they included more than 2 games, and games only Harbaugh coached. Like they could have put the Utah game in it at least.
