At Michigan's practice. Love the "M" drill - runner trying to get thru 3 levels of blocking. Saw good moments from Michael Cox & W Campbell

Loss of Mesko is obviously a concern, but the frehman Hagerup has really boomed a few

Great energy in 1 on 1 tackle drill. Vlad Emilien just had a big time hit. Sweet move earlier out of Terrance Robinson.

Marvin Robinson, Brandin Hawthorne and Courtney Avery among the others who had good moments

Based on today - tough call on QB situation. All 3 have had some good moments. DR clearly improved as a passer.

Uh, what? I thought media was completely barred from practice.  Then again, the BTN is paying UM a nice chunk of change from revenue sharing, so I guess they should at least get some access.  Good to hear nice comments on our secondary players; need them to step up this year.  More love for Denard; what a difference one offseason has made.

The BTN is going to each teams camp and will be showing some highlights (not sure what this will consist of) and talk about each team, similar to ESPN going to the NFL training camps. I believe that we will be showcased on the 18th at 8:00 pm, although someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

EDIT: MGoShoe just stated below that it will be the 19th, but same time.

Great to hear and thanks for the link!  Anyone else scan through his tweets from PSU, OSU, and IU?  I always try to get a feel for what other media personel are saying about conference opponents, i.e. if they are talking us up, are they talking everyone up?

Just trying to get  a feel for how the team is doing.  Thoughts?

EDIT: To clarify--thoughts on Dave's tweets rather than how the team is doing.  I'm confident they are improved and the record will show that this year.

...Revsine's observations with a grain of salt or two.  He seemed to be pretty generous with his observations of PSU, especially the QBs.  But, he's there, we're not, so if he says Bolden and Newsome looked good, my preconceived notion (and desire) that they suck is certainly tenuous and straw-grasping.

It's true that he's there to sell a product, Big Ten football as much as anything.  This will undoubtedly color his analysis in his tweets, blog entries and on air copy.

Revsine's OSU related tweets:

Regarding the 2ndary - Hines had nice pick on Pryor. S isn't as big a concern as some make it out to be - Johnson was fine. Rolling out of Columbus on the way to PSU.

Don't sense we got the Bucks on their best day (it was REALLY hot) - but still very impressive.

Just informed by a member of the OSU staff that it's 108 degrees on the turf. I would not categorize it as a comfortable day.

Pryor threads the needle to Posey on a really nice TD pass vs. the 1 "D" after being flushed out of the pocket.

John Simon really looks good. Just blew by Bryant Browning in a line drill - and Browning is an awfully good O-Lineman.

The level of intensity is really impressive. There is no entitlement here. Also - Ross Homan just made a great hit in a 1 on 1 drill.

Wouldn't worry about the LT spot with Mike Adams. He looks great - Gerry and Howard raving about him too.

Can already see a difference in Pryor as a leader - just turned around during a drill and said to everyone, "no balls on the ground."

Carlos Hyde - wow. They're obviously in great shape at RB this yr, but this kid will really be good down the line.

Looks great. In Columbus - Heading to WBNS to do some radio w Craig Krenzel & Mike Ricordati - would be a tragic error not to listen if you're in C-Bus

Looks like pretty much boilerplate hype. His tweets about PSU looked similar. Nonetheless, it's camp...any information is nice to hear.

This post getting negged (at the time of this comment, it is at -1) is why I think we should have transparency in voting.  This was a post that added value.  We wanted to know the slant of Dave Revsine's tweets, and Not a Blue Fan gave that to us.  If you're negging him because he's an Ohio State fan, please go back to MLive.  Not a Blue Fan's posts add value to this board, and despite our petty jokes about Ohio State, he actually seems like a smart guy (or girl).  Don't run him (or her) off like we have to other opposing fans who added value.

Thank you.  It would be too funny if they came away saying "Hmmm... Michigan doesn't look too bad this year... "  Then all of a sudden we're a dark horse.  I like underdog better, try that on for a bit before back to domination

Love to hear the QB's.  I want a fight all the way through camp, where both are too good to stay off the field.  Selfishly still hoping for a DG redshirt.  Very encouraged yesterday at RR's presser that Tate wasn't backing off or sulking

Re. others: Those are some good names to be having good moments

I still hope DG will redshirt too. Good news though that D-Rob is looking good and that Tate is not backing down. This will make redshirting DG a little easier knowing that both QBs can lead the team, and not just one or the other.

Tate can lead the team.  He proved that last year with a porous OL and injured RB's

I know RR said something to that effect last night, but I think he's still burning that Tate didn't work as hard as he could have offseason.  Work means everything to RR, and I like that.  On the field though, Tate has my total confidence*

*assuming he learns to tuck that ball, steady in the pocket, and listen to his coaching

I agree with you. The reason I pick Tate over Denard right now is the way he throws the ball and the experience he has. But I think Denard is right on his ass and it will be a battle throughout the season, not just up until the opener. And yes, if he can protect the ball better than last year (tucking it and not throwing easy interceptions) then Tate is the man leading the team imo.

but let's not quibble.  I'm with you - best player starts, I'm just hoping for 2 deadly options

Can someone ask either of the BTN guys about Tate directly?  I'm not on Twitter.  I wonder if the answer is going to be the same type of "meh, looks like he did last year" that we heard in the spring

Had a separated shoulder and was playing against a very good and athletic defense as a true freshman. A TRUE freshman. A true FRESHMAN. And he was like, a true freshman. This means he was young. And still is. Did I mention OSU has a good defense? He did a very reasonable job for a true freshman. You want the best player this year to start, but you want to tag on tate for a game last year? Perhaps you should look at some of DR's passing numbers from last year if you want to complain about tate from last year.

Bluenbama... I think I know who you are.    You should recognize my 'avatar'.

I love hearing all I can about Denard's improved throwing.   This could be awesome.     Please, please, please let us get a redshirt out of Gardner, and we can feel real good about this position for the next FIVE years.

I'm glad that Mike Cox is looking good in practice. I think eventually he will show up as our primary back, but he needs to get rid of the mental mistakes we heard about in the spring first.

For the post.  At this point in the offseason (3 weeks to go!!), I would take ANY relevant content.

Something to keep in mind, though, is that the B10 is somewhat effusive in its praise.  As a prior commenter noted, the BTN has an interest in being a cheerleader for the B10, so I would not expect to see much negativity in these tweets.  But, if they are singling out certain players to heap the positivity on, I would not discount that altogether.  Also, looking at these tweets on context of other information that we have heard, there is a real chorus of people commenting on Denard's improved passing.  This kid has some real potential to be the next . . . (I am trying really hard not to write a Pat White comparison).

That you're up to almost 1,000 points. A little way to go, but you're closing in. Now, if I were a fan of tOSU (and I most decidedly am not) I would consider you "under suspicion" about now.

OTOH, you contribute some pretty good content here. Therefore, I care little whose fan you are.

Some info > no info, but buyer beware.

Not only have we heard this before, but you're not going to get any real honesty here from Revsine....

What we need is the large army from Monty Python and the Holy Grail to yell "get on with it" and fast forward to game day on 9/4.....

Not too much to add. I did meet Dave in Chicago last year - he was going to a Holiday Party and parked in my building - nice guy, but was wearing a TON of makeup. Must be that darn HD cameras.

Eventhough the comments may be self serving (pro all Big Ten Teams) it is good not too see negatives. I am almost to the boiling point - Sept 4th can't get here fast enough!!

I don't have premium access, so don't divulge anything more than you and this board feels comfortable with - but did RR really take wings away from certain players (incl. Tate)?  Maybe there's a clue there to Turner as well...

Or maybe you're JK and I'm again too dense to understand that
