BTN tour twitter feed discussion
The BTN crew drop in on Michigan today. With the submarine, this is about as much access as we'll have for a while. Looks like the practice will happen too late to make the nightly show tonight, so it'll air tomorrow, but we usually get some good info from the BTN team on twitter

Have had some good meals on tour so far. Will be difficult to top @thurmancafe in Columbus. Meet the "Thurmanator." pic.twitter.com/hfeQYTXnVZ

Looks like a greasy mess. I would pass on that - too big to bite into! Of course, if you live in that truck stop known as Columbus, your mouth is probably plenty big...
August 15th, 2016 at 2:42 PM ^
..and if it were an Ann Arbor sandwich?
August 15th, 2016 at 2:50 PM ^
Would pass on it too. Doesn't matter if it's Columbus, A2 or Chicago, it looks disgusting.

Is your horse high enough and have you considered getting off it any time soon?
August 15th, 2016 at 2:55 PM ^
Way to overreact to one's opinion. People want to eat it; it's their prerogative. It just looks disgusting to me.

Suit yourself, I'd eat that shit. The fries look nasty though.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:50 PM ^
My thoughts exactly. I'd do battle with that burger but those fries, no thanks. Give me some hash browns.
August 15th, 2016 at 2:51 PM ^
And I'm a big fan of greasy food.

Harburger

Thurnan's is awesome...but I wouldn't eat that big slab o whatever that is.
August 16th, 2016 at 2:56 PM ^
As someone who lives in Columbus, Thurman's is awesome.
Thurminator is a hell of a burger, but not the best I'd say. Just get a standard cheeseburger with bacon. Good place with a great atmosphere.
August 15th, 2016 at 2:46 PM ^
Finished Off with A "Wafer Thin Mint!" Right, Mr. Creosote?
August 15th, 2016 at 2:56 PM ^
The Thurman cafe is argueably (ok maybe not argueably) the best thing Columbus has to offer. Not only do they serve the Thurmator, they've got an awesome menu and about 25 craft beers on tap. Place is ultra funky and I've been in there twice now with Michigan gear on and other than a bit of good natured teasing got no real grief whatsover.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:05 PM ^
Or worse ;)
August 15th, 2016 at 3:22 PM ^
man, I'm not a paranoid person, and I also like to believe people are generally good, but I don't think I'd ever order food in Columbus wearing Michigan gear...
August 15th, 2016 at 3:56 PM ^
If you are ever in Columbus, you need to stop at Thurmans. It's actually an awesome spot to go to and have a beer and a burger. Try and avoid regular meal times, since the line may be hours long, literally. Especially during football season. But everyone should try it once. Easily my favorite place to go in Columbus

I used to live down the street in German Village. If you're in a pinch for time, Thurman To Go is next door. It's the Thurman's menu, but takeout only.
August 15th, 2016 at 6:39 PM ^
a Thurmans to Go way out east on Broad Street. Great burgers and fries.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:52 PM ^
It was delicious.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:23 PM ^
I was going to comment on how ridiculous you'd look eating something like that in public and then I realized we're talking about a place in Ohio, so nevermind.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:42 PM ^
in one sitting. Maybe a ravenous warthog.
August 15th, 2016 at 6:35 PM ^
Clearly youve never seen a picture of Mike Onwenu
August 15th, 2016 at 5:24 PM ^
Thurmans is phenomenal! great little joint with fantastic burgers. everyone can hate away and say "ewww too greasy" but you don't know what you're missing. and like everything in life, moderation is the key. No you can't slam these down everyday for lunch, but every now and then, they are amazing.
August 15th, 2016 at 7:25 PM ^
Please tell us exactly what we are looking at here. What's under the beef patties? Looks delicious!

Well looks like it won't air today anyways. Practice is starting too late in the day.
August 15th, 2016 at 9:32 PM ^
Part of me wonders if this is an awesome troll job by Harbaugh. In making the practice too late for the coverage to air today on BTN's "Michigan Day", he has essentially given M an extra day of press by encroaching on another team's special day tomorrow. And guess which team will once again be forced to share the spotlight with M...
Wait for it...
Sparty. I love our coach.
August 15th, 2016 at 2:43 PM ^
At least we still have the press conference today.
August 15th, 2016 at 2:58 PM ^
Anybody know what time the presser will be? Will it be aired live on Mgoblue?
August 15th, 2016 at 2:46 PM ^
We shouldn't discuss twitter feeds until we beat #msu and #osu
August 15th, 2016 at 2:54 PM ^
I'd be ok with not seeing this joke again until we beat them both.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:03 PM ^
good luck with some of the stand up comedians in this crowd. agreed though
August 15th, 2016 at 4:33 PM ^
Is that a paradox of some kind?
August 15th, 2016 at 9:08 PM ^
This is exactly the proper response.
August 15th, 2016 at 2:54 PM ^
Ok...can this die already. Enough is enough.

August 15th, 2016 at 3:02 PM ^
Yes. It's simply not funny. It was for maybe a day. Maybe.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:09 PM ^
You know what has to happen before it will die right?
August 15th, 2016 at 2:55 PM ^
But damn, this same joke has been made in every thread for the past couple weeks.
This is the progression:
1. Legit "don't say _____ until we beat them"
2. Mocking "don't say ____ until we beat them"
3. Mocking #2 with "don't do [this completely unrelated thing] until we beat them"
4. Played out
Item number 4 happened about August 1.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:20 PM ^
It doesn't really get played out until you know what though
*Edit: My own post reminded me of the morphing stage of the joke that's been beaten to death. The stage where you threaten the joke, but don't finish it. After that, the joke is truly played out.
August 15th, 2016 at 2:57 PM ^
I've never seen this hash tag variant though
August 15th, 2016 at 3:01 PM ^
This joke is so played out, Oakland came back into play for Harbaugh.
August 15th, 2016 at 3:20 PM ^
While on his vision quest, Alex Kozan encountered a frog with the voice of Demar Dorsey and was asked which two teams Michigan must beat before t-shirts could be sold in Ohio. He chose ... unwisely.
August 15th, 2016 at 5:29 PM ^
Then we had subs--it was crazy!
August 16th, 2016 at 1:25 PM ^
FIRE AL BORGESS
August 15th, 2016 at 3:57 PM ^
Just to be safe you should probably just stop posting until we beat msu and osu.
August 15th, 2016 at 4:09 PM ^
The Bob Ross I knew would always discuss twitter feeds and assumed we were going to destroy those two schools every year!
August 15th, 2016 at 4:20 PM ^
This joke will never get old because of the tools who still say that with a straight face in a discussion about UM. But. it doesn't have a long shelf life as a joke anyway.....
