According to my Digital TV Guide, the 30 minute Michigan segment repeats several times over the next couple of days.

So if anyone misses the first airing, do not dispair!

Yeah, and I'm 99% sure it was 90 min the year before that.  I don't mind that it's only 30 min now because it's mostly fluff and stuff that's been discussed on here for weeks or months.  Less of DiNardo is a good thing also.

I really think we are going to be tough this year.  Especially up front.  The perimeter does not exist.  Unless we motion a hybrid OL/WR out there.  It's not about making plays but rather how tough you are.  Can you catch?  I don't care.  Can you be tough?  THAT is the question.  How do you apply press coverage to an offensive tackle...you can't.  TOUGHNESS.  CAPS LOCK is tough.  Speed = weak.  Steak is tough.  Our men eat toughness...especially up front.

I am always excited to see the Wolverines on in practice and fall camp.  But are they really gonna bring light to anything that we already don't know.  I love BTN but at times I feel like they are very good "insiders".   All  you out there that follow fall camp closely what can we look forward to tonight?

Illinois game granted it was high scoring and thrilling to see us get that 3rd OT win it is getting old. BTN acts like it was our greatest win ever which it wasnt even close! Here's some Michigan classics I want to see on BTN for us.

2003: OSU VS UM. 100th Meeting between the two in the game just to see us beat Tressel.

2000. OSU VS UM. Henson's 2 point run into the endzone to put Cooper away for the last time in his coaching career at OSU.

2007. ND vs UM. After a rough two weeks we kick the shit out of Notre Dame in the Big House and destroy the Irish 38-0.

2008. WIS VS UM. After being down 19-0 Threet leads the team to beat the Badgers 27-25 in the 500th game in Michigan Stadium history.

2005. PSU VS UM. Henne to Manningham nuff said...

intelligence of Bucknutt fans is that all of them say "how many times has Michigan been in a BCS bowl?" For God sake look in a damn record book.

2000. Orange Bowl

2004. Rose Bowl

2005. Rose Bowl

2007. Rose Bowl.

4 appearances in the last 10 years is impressive by anyone's standard and not an easy thing to accomplish at that.

Lord.  That Rose Bowl game.  The thing I remembered the most about that game (other than punching my bedroom wall after it was done) was how accurate Henne was with his throwing.  Many times throughout the season, he would throw up prayers and Braylon had to adjust like in the MSU thriller.  But in the Rose Bowl game, he was perfect with his passes.  Braylon didn't need to do any acrobatic positions to catch them.  The TD pass to Breaston was dead on as well.   And the touchdownnsdjklsakj hhhhdsd

But the 100 missed tackles just about gave me a stroke.  When we were up 31-21 and Texas had a 3rd and goal from the 10, Vince Young survived a sack and broke, I believe, 3 different tackles to walk in the end zone like it was nothing.  When that happened, I was so angry I wanted to throw my TV through the window.

...the defense can be significantly better. Blitz and sub packages coming from the NFL. Offense that controls the ball will mean the defense should face fewer snaps.

Mike Martin was a standout for DiNardo. Griffiths says he's the star and impressively, he's taking coaching which is something the young guys take note of.

  • Gear our schemes to Denard's skillset
  • Will always feature some of those skills
  • Push the pocket, get under the rush, always threaten the draw

  • The offense will look more like last year than I thought
  • No dominant RB, if RBs gain 1200 yards it's not the same as if one RB gains 1200 yards
  • OL has to adjust to pocket blocking

Griffiths says:

  • Denard will have more explosive plays this year than last because defenses won't be able to key on him
  • Talent at WR will cause problems for defenders
  • No consistent RB, and that's what is needed to make this offense run

I don't think I learned any more than I already knew.  I know I'm giddy for the season to start!

I tuned in early enough to catch the MSU game.  Man, that Manningham catch in the end zone was a killer!  Go Blue!
