I guess that is a plus. They have to replace Gordon and 3 o linemen a TE and WR iirc. They usually do the replacing lunemen and RBs pretty well. They have 6 or 7 starters back on defense. They had a statistically good defense even with the results of the title game. Chryst was able to keep their DC. Alabama is replacing QB, RB, Cooper and 5 others on offense. Most of the defense is back. So far no one has stepped up to be the guy at QB, if the stories are accurate. Of course, they lean towards a game manager so not a big deal in this game. If they were up against a more dynamic offense it might be a problem. We ran on them, but we set up a passing threat as well.

camera angles some 8 years on, I'm not taking much of anything they have to say seriously, least of all college football game predictions.

Except of course Gerry DiNardo. Because when that guy is on, he's really fucking on.

"Pack your defense."

The picks that have Wisconsin within a field goal against Alabama are the craziest. Prepare to feel the full wrath of ESPN and the SEC you foolish badgers.

EVERYONE in 1985 predicted Michigan would be .500 at best and anywhere from 4th to 7th in the Big Ten.  Harbaugh was not considered even an average QB.  He led the nation in passing efficiency that year and Michigan finished 10-1-1 and 2nd in the polls.  You have to BELIEVE.

Box score shows a team led by incompetence.

A team that couldn't stay out if it's own way.

Coached by a good man , but a man that couldn't lead them across the street without confusion.

This is not that team.

Utah is a good ,not great , team.

The Team The Team The Team will win.

That is all.

Respect is earned, not given.  I realize everyone here feels we'll win because HARBAUGH, but until the results start showing on the field the "pundits" will keep expectations low (as one would expect).  If MIchigan goes out and wins by three touchdowns it will turn some heads and people will realize they may have to reevaluate their view of this team.  I'm thinking this is an 8-win team and anything above that is icing on the cake.  Still, I hope they go out and kick the shit out of Utah and make a statement.  Can't wait for Thursday!
