have no evidence suggesting that Colorado is "not good." We have evidence to the contrary, as they have throttled every team they have played just as we have. If you have plans for a completely relaxing afternoon with this game I would change those plans. They will test us. You play him because he is a really good player who had hopes of a Thorpe award and first round draft stock. This is the third game he has missed to start the season. Clearly something is up, and it is certainly a concern.

Their past 4 year history, including most of their returning players- is a good indicator of not good status, on top of that, although they beat lesser foes, when you examine the film they were playing slightly better than their opponent.

Until CO can line up and move the ball on an established quality team, they are safe to be called what they have shown themselves to be - average at best more likely, not good

That could explain why Lewis isn't playing. He'd be tested in the passing game and with the tempo Colorado brings, so another week of healing and returning against a slower-paced, more run heavy offense in Wisconsin is preferable.

It's fine now, but if they're not ready by Wisconsin, or if the scary happens and they're not ready by MSU, then we're in serious trouble.

The one silver lining is that the guys backing them up are getting really valuable playing time and they'll be ready to take over come next year.

tightening up.  Zordich surmised it was a result of overtraining:

[H]e worked his tail off all summer. Probably worked a little too hard. I think that might have been a little too much torque on his body, and some of the issues that he has had the last couple weeks may have been from that. But he had a helluva camp and then all of a sudden his back started to tighten up, which affected his hamstring, which affected his quad and he’s just fighting through these things right now."

Backs are bad; hammies are terrible.  Color me concerned.  I hope he gets the rest he needs, and comes back at full strength later in the season.

It's probably ok for them to sit in terms of winning, but I do wonder if it will ultimately hurt JL in terms of draft stock if he continues to sit. I guess there's a lot of film previously and he'll be in some big games this season, so hopefully not.

Taco and Mone come as no surpirse. Was really hoping to see JL out there today even for just a few plays so he can get back to some game action beofre the B1G season begins.

Hopefully this is just Harbaugh really erring on the side of caution with him vs this now becoming an issue that will last the entire season.

I just keep thinking back to the Hawaii game when they came out 4 or 5 wide and threw all over on us. I think it was 2nd or 3rd quarter maybe. I'm sure our Dline will take care of any time their qb has to throw. So I'll just sit back, relax, and enjoy this W.
