BTN Helmet Bracket Update

Submitted by umhero on

I realize many of you really don't care, but I like to see Michigan win everything they compete in.

The BTN is holding a Best Helmet in the Big Ten tournament.  Most of us would agree there's little doubt which school should win, but our rivals are doing all they can to prevent us from winning another accolade.

We are in the semi-finals against Iowa.  Yesterday we were down at one point 65% to 35%.  We have closed the gap.  It's now 55% to 45%.  I assume if we all vote a couple of times we can even the score.

BTW - the winner faces the winner of Indiana vs. Penn State in the Final.

PSU is leading 74% to 26%

Update: Michigan made the finals against Indiana.  Here's the link to vote:

A) I downvote all MSU threads.

B) I downvote all threads that belong at MLive.

D) I downvote all threads with shitty titles.

E) I downvote [Mr. Yost] bi-weekly depth chart posts because I still believe you are Em0 v4.0. However, I don't downvote your comments in said threads. I no longer believe Mr. Yost to be Em0, he might be, but I'm not sure anymore

F) I downvote every single thing posted by Mr. Mario aka McFarlin v123.0

G) I mark every single post by Section 1 as redundant, because I signed an E-Contract with ProfitGoBlue to refrain from responding to him.

H) I downvote any reference to points. I would downvote this post, but the system no longer allows you to do that.

PS - Points and Negs do not actually count anymore. The only useful thing about negs/posbangs is that they cause certain people to freak out, despite being functionally useless for about a year.

AMENDMENTS:

I. I downvote any post by Wolverine318, Wolverine319, ProfessorX We made up.

J. I downvote any use of an asterisk in a swear word.

K. I downvote anyone who signs their own post.

L.  I downvote anyone who ends a post with an unnecessary "Go Blue."

M.  I downvote anyone who uses "Hmmmm" in the subject of their post.

Mr. Mario was f*****g banned for acting like a Sparty troll (did you hear the news about Kork Coupons and his book LOLOLspartina there so obsessed and their not even a rivel) and all his posts were getting negged. Hope this post gets pos'd baby, points are the coolest thing eva.

This checklist is freaking brilliant. With the exception of your awesome wars with certain posters, the rest of these are pretty spot on.

I do miss the days when up/down votes actually mattered. The board was a far better place, as useless posts and threads cropped up far less often for fear by posters of getting negged into Bolivia. (I recognize that my mentioning points, I am going to get negged by you. It's all good - until up/down voting actually returns to having value).

I've spent the last 3 minutes voting repeatedly on my iPhone. I moved the needle from 46.63% to 46.73% UM.

I don't have a life, so maybe I can pour a glass of red wine and spend the evening trying to get us above 50%.

I don't need to fill out a new poll every year to tell the world what everyone already knows Michigan is a classic

Like you, I want Michigan to win everything. We all know that this is a stupid poll. Michigan has the best (and certainly top 3, along with two of: ND, Texas, maybe USC, and some other school that I am probably missing) helmets in all of football. That Iowa is even in contention is a joke.

about the poll, Michigan fans as well, and one buddy said he "got busted."  Not sure what that means, but I'll try to get clarification.  I'm sure he voted no more than any of us did, so not sure why he would get singled out like that.  I'll get more details...

Edit:  After talking with him, he said he voted about 50 times and the site said he should take a "cooling off" period.  I think that if you were to vote several times, keep it to 30 or so, stop, then go back later for another 30.  Rinse, repeat...

I just voted, we're up 62.76% to 37.24%.  Anyone know when the poll closes?

Also, apparently a lot of people are voting for Indiana just for the fun of it, and they are up on PSU 54.19% to 45.81%.

Probably had something to do with after Penn States "voters" (more like bots) got them up to a 90% to 10% lead, they started focusing on making sure the least competitive team, Iowa, was in the final against them.  While they went after Michgian, Indiana snuck up and passed them while they were sleeping.
