BTN Football & Beyond Critics

Submitted by A2MIKE on

So, I usually hate Dinardo, but today he was spot on.  Both C-Mart and the other guy (NW alum) stated that more pressure was on us this Saturday rather than ND.  Dinardo blows the thing up stating that this is the 3rd most important rivalry game for Michigan (I don't completely agree, but I would much rather beat osu and msu than nd right now, not historically, but this year for sure).  C-Mart then carries on about needing this for RR's job security and needing 8 possibly 9 wins to save his job.  I know that this is a common theme amongst MSM, but I am starting to wonder about conspiracy theories.  Anybody want to make predictions on their analysis of Denard, I am thinking we might hear, "He will get hurt if he runs 29 times a game" and for an encore C-Mart predicts that the Big Ten will adopt a championship game now that they have 12 teams in 2 divisions.

I don't think there's that much pressure on us.  It's on the road.  UConn, at home and for the re-dedication, was the absolute must-win.  If we lose this one it's not the end of the world.  Going 3-1 out of conference would be OK.   I do see this as a great opportunity for us, though.  Win this one and the "RR on the hot seat" talk will pretty much be finished.

It would be great.  A win in South Bend, coupled with the impressive performance against UConn, and suddenly we're a hot story.  (Having a super-exciting player at QB doesn't hurt, either.)  I would not be surprised to see the national media suddenly rally behind RR.

As soon as the game was over, I turned to my dad and said "well...pressure is off for next week." RichRod HAD to win one of the next two games. He's got that win. If we lose Saturday, he'll start to see some pressure again, but with layups following ND, we should be fine.

Just watched it and they were pretty good about denards carries..  Dinardo talked about how 7 of the carries were short yardage, so it wasn't like he was taking big hits.

C-mart says basically more power to Denard, if he has the skill to take them places let him do it.

Predictions for our game were split, with the other guy, not sure his name said because of our road record under RR 1-8, and Denards first road game we will lose.

C-Mart suggested it will be tough for ND to slow down denard, and he will improve on his decision making from the first wk and build on it.

I forgive the national media in missing the mark on this Michigan team, but not DiNardo and crew at the B10 Network. I mean, weren't those guys at fall practice? They actually saw Pure Dilithium in person and couldn't see how special he was.  Dude has ZERO credibility with me.

I paid partial attention tonight but didn't really digest what everyone was saying.

I DID, however, comment to myself how awesome it is to have B10 football coverage every day of the week, thanks to BTN.  I literally have it on every night, from the time I get home from work/practice until the time I fall asleep.

I could do without that jackwagon weather man, though.

I don't think it's an absolute must-win. But a lot of UM fans won't be too happy with 1-1. It'd put us right back where we were a week ago with people calling for RR's head. It's RR's 3rd year, and it's only BK's first. I think there's a bit more pressure on us to win, even though people aren't expecting a ton from this team. Even though UConn was supposed to be a tough game, more Michigan fans thought we would win than lose. A loss to ND wouldn't be surprising, but that doesn't mean people will be ok with a loss.

The pressure will mount on ND. That stadium has turned on their own in the past, and I think that their defense will have fits chasing Denard around. We have Pat White version 2.0, and this time he can throw EVEN BETTER than Pat as a true Soph. Just think about being a defensive coach and watching film of his deadly accuracy matched with his speed.  Glad that's not my responsibility. I can't wait to see Denard run for over 150 on their heads. Go Blue!
