BTN Coverage of M Football
I was kind of surprised that ESPN picked up the Bowling Green game. Does each team still have to appear in 3 games on the BTN each season? If so, what games do you expect to be on the BTN going forward? I would think Indiana and Purdue/Illinois. Sidenote: Indiana has completed their stadium renovations, and I heard that they were rededicating their stadium that night. Any chance this is an 8pm start on the BTN?

ABC/ESPN will pay through the nose to get high profile Michigan games, and then Michigan/BG or Michigan UMass still has more television draw than some middling IU or Purdue game.

That would be awesome! Everyone is more hyped when it comes to a night game. I am also surprised that ESPN picked up the Bowling Green game, but I'm definitely happy I don't have to watch it on the internet.

Umass is on btn
That leaves: Ill, Ind, or Purdue to be on the btn.
Very strange they pick up the bg game

That's also an awful week of games in the Big 10, perhaps the worst ever. It's 9 MAC teams and two I-AA opponents. The ABC game is OSU - EMU.

top out of conference games that week
Boise vs oregon st, west virginia vs lsu.......those are the only 2 non conf games worth mentioning...all the rest flat suck
sec has conference games started up so they have a couple good matchups.....

Imo the bigten network tries to get 1 of msu, psu, wisconsin on the bigten network ...to push ratings for the network....
Indiana imo I bet is on espn.....msu is either espn or btn and iowa on abc......

How much you want to bet that PSU changes their previous statement, and designates the UM game for a "white out?"

Does BTN have a coverage map like ESPN? I actually emailed them regarding Saturday's games, but they haven't responded yet. I am in Arizona, and our cable provider has 2 BTN channels. The main BTN channel says OSU-Ohio, and the 2nd channel says "Regional Coverage" with the other 3 games listed.

I wanted to know this as well and couldn't find a good answer. Unfortunately, I don't have Big Ten Alternate, only the main one so it sounds like I'll have to catch the UMass game somewhere else... Ugh it's times like these that I wish I didn't have Comcast!
Also, where are people seeing that ESPN has picked up the Bowling Green game? I checked the schedule on ESPN and it still does not have any updates about which channel the game will be broadcasted on.

Per the schedule posted there, the BG game is a noon start on "ESPN or ESPN2"

They've assigned channels for the games this weekend, at least in Chicago.

The BTN game finder posted above has worked fine for me in AZ (Chandler) before. If you're watching on Cox, it says you can get the UofM game live on either 177 (SD) or 777 (HD).

I really feel for those of you outside the Big Ten footprint who have BTN, but no alternates and not the Mich game.
I thought for sure I was going to be in this spot in Eugene, OR but apparently we are getting the Michigan game over all the others on our singular Comcast BTN channel.
The whole alternates/no alternates thing is BS IMO. If you pay for BTN (like all of us outside the midwest do), you should get the alternates...period. I would even pay more for them, but its no even an option.
Comcast needs to step that shit up, but I'm not surprised they haven't.

Ha! Comcast here in Orlando, FL doesn't even carry the BTN. Not even on a sports tier! They have to be the worst cable provider. They are severly lacking when it comes to the number of HD channels as well. I have DirecTV instead.

Well every year a lot of people want to see Michigan and now a lot of people also want to see Denard...ESPN probably is hoping that he tears up Bowling Green for a nice story line.
