In the Big Ten Building Leaders Honoring Legends commercial, who is the athlete in cap and gown flashing the V sign at the end?

I thought it was a former Northwestern WR, or DB from their championship years (1995 - 1996).  Unfortunately, I just did a quick search and I think I might have been wrong.

Let's hope it the ONLY TIME I'M WRONG TODAY.

Oh, man.  That's a good one.  I think he looks more like that now than he did when he left Nebraska.

On a second note: I FUCKING HATE IT WHEN THEY USE PLAYERS OR COACHES THAT WERE NOT PART OF THE LEAGUE WHEN THEY PLAYED AND/OR GRADUATED FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE SCHOOLS.  You're a new-comer.  Deal with it, shut up and count your BTN money.

JSBlue was correct.  It is Johnny Rodgers.  The reason it doesn't look like him is that he graduated from Nebraska at age 46!

I got a response from BTN and from the firm that produced the video (Daily Planet Ltd.) that both state that it is Rodgers.

Thanks for confirming, Yo.  Good call, JSBlue, and your first ever post too.  For the win!

FWIW, according to Johnny Rodgers' Wikipedia page (because everything is right there, amirite?), Rodgers was the first ever Heisman Trophy winner to have previously been convicted of a felony.

He was convicted of a felony, for robbing a gas station, while a student at Nebraska.
