Big Ten Network 5K/10K - Registration Opens March 14

When: Race is July 27th - Registration begins March 14th

What: The Big Ten Network 5K/10K will be back in its second year on Saturday July 27th with a brand new course, televised LIVE on the Big Ten Network. School specific shirts will again be available to participants who register early.

Registration: IMPORTANT DETAILS -To be counted in the Michigan Alumni club's registration count, please use BTNMichigan as your promo code when registering.

Why is this important? The Big Ten Network will be making a generous donation to fund scholarships for local students to the alumni club that registers the most runners. Michigan won this honor last year - let's show Chicago again we are the leaders and best!

Thx for the heads-up.   This is a good excuse to visit Chicago from the cheeseland up north.

I'm in.  And I'm in only because I want to handily defeat Gerry DiNardo.   Tim Doyle, on the hand, might be tough to beat on his home turf.

I was considering it, but that's the same day as the Warrior Dash. Thanks for posting this, though. My wife would have probably enjoyed a vacation to Chicago.

This is an excellent event. I ran in the 10K last year and it was really well run. They had a ton of B1G mascots there and I had the pleasure of speeding past Dhani Jones towards the end of the race.

The best part is the last mile when you see Sparties or Buckeyes slightly ahead of you, the hate gives you the motivation to turn on the jets to beat them out. Felt surprisingly great...rivalry.
