Bruce Feldman says that the terms yesterday were not accurate...

The numbers were much toonhigh per Feldman  on multiple reports on Twitter.

Bruce Feldman ‏@BruceFeldmanCFB 5m5 minutes ago As I said on @FoxSports1 today, I was told by sources the reports on the $8M per offer by #Michigan to Jim Harbaugh are not accurate

Maybe the figure was for a total possible amount he could earn and not a base salary? Given Saban made over $7 million after having a great year and Dantonio made over $5 million after winning the Big Ten championship and Rose Bowl I'm just guessing the $8 million figure could have been if he won a National Championship, Rose Bowl, conference titel, etc.

Offer was made, total compensation is $49 million I think is generally accepted.  There's a debate on whether it's 6 years, ~8/year or 8 years, ~6/year.  Feldman is probably hearing the latter.

So he has a source that says its "not accurate" but then doesn't give numbers as to what it actually was. Lol ok. If a source knew it wasn't accurate he was presumably know what the actual offer was. This is Feldman trying to simply get his name out there because the whole country is watching this story.

It will be a lot of $$$.  But it's not about the money now.  It's about how bad does he want to move to Ann Arbor.

I keep wavering back and forth.  Is this going to ruin my Christmas.  My wife thinks so...

The national guys like Feldman have lost the right to expect anyone to believe them at this point.  What are the odds that everyone is wrong, but he is right.  He is trolling for clicks.

Also does any rational person actually believe there was no offer?

He's a college reporter, and a really good one at that.  Could he be wrong?  Sure.  But it's silly to lump every non-MIchigan reporter into one big "national writer" category and then dismiss every piece of info coming out of that category.

He works for Fox who has a huge investment with the NFL.

When his info is different than basically everyone else there is a reason to criticize it.  What are the odds everyone else is wrong and he is right?

Being contrarian generates page clicks and that's all this is.

I don't think that's the extent of it. I believe someone actually told him that the numbers made public yesterday were not "accurate", which could very well be technically correct. It's a misdirection and I think Feldman is playing the role of Useful Idiot.

I really think a lot of these "national" guys are trying to say just about every possible outcome, regardless if they believe it or not, just so that whomever ends up being correct can trumpet the hell out of it.

Is the buyout. SF according to all reports does not want to keep Harbaugh, but they want to keep the value? They are not out $5,000,000.00 have never paid the money to him yet. So someone is going to move in and say here I will take him off your hands and as a favor of doing it here is an additional $5,000,000.00 that I will give you for him.

I have never looked at a human as property. Yeah I know its the contract which they want to go away anyway.

Its probably just me.

Harbaugh to Michigan!
