Very sad to remember what happened, but so cool to see how he has triumphed. Probably the greatest thing from the RR era at UM

Brock - the one who actually went through it all - would disagree with you.

Is the arm rotation just for balance/momentum, or has he actually trained his legs to respond somewhat to signals directing his arms to move?

I wondered the same thing myself. It looks too mechanical and deliberate to be balance/reactionary. Reminds me of a girl I read about whose liver basically replaced her pancreas for a few functions after it was removed. How the hell do they do this stuff??? Either way it's just incredible.

Would guess it's a modified hip-knee-ankle-foot sling, using shoulder flexion to extension to flex Brock's hip, and then Brock circumducts/swings his hip around to extend the knee. Then he uses spasticity/recurvatum to maintain weight on that leg while planting.
Kudos to Brock; metabolic equivalent of walking 4 miles at least.

Yet another moving moment for Brock's recovery. Very inspiring story over the past few years and here Brock is at yet another milestone. Thanks for finding and sharing this.

when he addressed an alumni group. He's not only courageous and inspiring, he leaves that for others to decide. A genuinely lovely guy, with a surprising, and sweet, sense of humor.
