Came in earlier to post it but I realized I'm not liked enough yet to do it :)

You have to love what Barwis and his guys are doing, nothing short of amazing!

Brock really is my hero...

At College Gameday the morning of UTL my friends and I were doing our best to not block a guy who was in a wheelchair from having a good view. It took a few minutes before we realized it was Brock. Very nice guy and I'll love seeing positive updates concerning him.

An incredible story and one of the remnants that we can be proud of from the years that Rich Rod was here.  Stuff like this feels like an undefeated season to me.  Hoping when all hope is lost..Brock's faith in God is admirable.  It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine.

Hell yea.....brought a tear to my eye. God Bless Brock kid is a hell of a fighter. Also, props to Mike who stuck with him even after all the RR stuff went down. Barwis is a real stand up dude.

That is amazing!  He is looking a bit better at it than he did in that video from a few months ago.  Just to be able to move around the house a bit is something we all take for granted ...

This was a very inspirational view, and thanks for sharing.

Brock's story is awesome one that shows you what tenacity really is and what it sorts of rewards it can reap. Very amazing, and major props to Brock and Barwis.

That guy is going to run out on the field to kick off the 2013 season and jump to touch the banner by 2014.  I hope they do something to highlight this on senior day with his brother.

Hear about Ondre, then hear he's doing well.  Go off to visit a dear friend who just had hours of spinal surgery yesterday, and today she's smiling and talking (supposedly she was still under anesthesia when she started talking about Woodstock).  And then this.  I wonder if this has anything to do with Elliott smiling in all the fall pictures and interviews.  Most of the attention has been on his beard, but I can't help seeing that even his eyes are smiling now.  Seems like he's been healing too.

When I woke up this morning and saw this video, a had a couple initial thoughts.

#1 - This is awesome, flat out amazing. So happy for that family and proud of Brock.

#2 - Of course my second thought had to selfishly take it back to Michigan Football. But my thought was "It was worth it." Let's not turn this into anything about Rich Rod, this is too great of a story to do that. But like the rest of you, I certainly have my thoughts about those 3 years. But after seeing what Rich Rod's S&C staff has done with Brock, how's they've stuck by him, how they are helping him walk again...it was worth it.

It is not far-fetched to think part of that 1% has to do with Mike Barwis and his staff. If we don't get Rich Rod, we don't get Barwis. I've struggled over the years swallowing the pill that was that era. When I see this, I can only think "it was worth it."

I could not be more proud to be a Michigan fan...and honored to say every coach we've ever had gave something to program that no one can take away. Rich Rod's legacy on the field will never be good when it comes to Michigan...but please make sure you put a little 1% asterisk next to his legacy whenever you bring him up, because again...it was worth it.
