Brionte Dunn to transfer (rumored) to YSU

Could this have an effect on Weber? Positive, or negative.

Brady Hoke went on a recruiting tear and got kids to commit like Kalis (who initially committed to OSU),  D. Thomas committed outright and Dunn was wavering.

Then urbz gets hired and threatens to pull his offer if he still consiers Michigan.  So he sticks with Ohio State.

In retrospect you get the feeling that the ultimate mark of shame of urbz is to lose a commit to Michigan.

Isnt it a bit premature to predict who will be drafted or not. Combines dictate all, it seems. If he impresses just one clown at a combine (eg Raiders), he gets drafted. Plus in later rounds, I suspect teams wont draft an RB (proving to be a commodity position in the NFL) knowing they can pick up a couple UFAs, which tends to proliferate the availability of UFA RBs.

Wasn't Carlos Hyde pretty much just a 'Gradfathered' in type player? He was the pounder to the Elussiveness that Braxton was... I think it was the complete inverse for the Playoffs this year... the QB was the pounder in Jones and the speed/elusiveness was Elliott, if I'm not mistaken? THat's the only reason it worked, in my opinion. If it was any other combination Jones-Hyde or Miller/Barrett-Elliott, I don't think you see the ridiculous success the b*ckeyes have against Alabama that they did. Again, this is all just my own opinion.

Carlos Hyde wasn't grandfather'd into the starting RB position. During the 2012 season, Urban was splitting carries pretty evenly between Carlos Hyde, Bri'Onte Dunn, and Roddrick Smith.

Hyde didn't pull away as the feature back until about 5 or 6 games into the season.

Hopefully nobody is trashing the kid.  His cousin is Dymonte Thomas.  Sometimes things just don't work out.  Wish he came to Michigan but can't blame him for going to OSU.  He'll have a shot at YSU and maybe get to the next level.

on RBs or lack of them in this class is that they do not need 3 years to develop and their success is largely contingent on the OL play.  Lineman on both sides of the ball are more critical in order to allow time to develop into a system.  If there is no RB in this class its not that big a deal.  If some kid is enamored with Meyer then let him go he wont be a good fit in AA.  Meyer is going to the NFL after next year anyway.

It'd be hard to blame him. Elliott has a stanglehold on the starting job, and with all the different guys OSU can hand the ball off to, a lot of whom got meaningful playing time this year,  that just doesn't leave a lot of room for Dunn. Especially if Meyer can convince Braxton to stay and switch positions.

Almost all of us were saying he would be buried in the depth chart and I for one said he would never see the field. Too bad he didn't make the right choice. Good luck

We'll live without Weber.. We have Iaasc, Green, Johnson, and Smith next yr with a Haurbaugh O Line.. Weber better get used to the bench like Dunn because OSU is loaded at RB.
