Could this have an effect on Weber? Positive, or negative.

anywhere they want to go, and I wish no kid any harm even if they do choose a rival, however, why the hell would you choose to go to Ohio State if you grew up rooting for Michigan unless Michigan pissed you off?  I get that if your favorite program is a mess you go elsewhere, but I don't get going to a hated rival.

Ok, Michigan has gone through a rough patch, the last year in particular.  So maybe he thinks that going somewhere else is going to be better option for him, and that's fine.

But OSU?  If he really grew up as a Michigan fan that wouldn't even be an option.  I could see ND or even State, but not OSU.  Unless, like you said, Michigan really did something to piss him off.  Maybe they told him he could only get in because of football?

Mad Hatter has a lot of thinking to do. OSU is not going away anytime soon. If he thinks we are gonna beat them consistently, he has another thing coming. It is not too much to ask for winning 50% of your games against the top rival, but it is a lot to ask for if you expect your team to beat them regularly, especially the well-oiled machine that is OSU football right now. We have a long way to go to get to their level.

I think there is a very strong chance that wherever he ends up, he transfers if he doesn't get significant carries.

For some reason, I see him making rash decisions on a whim...

He is indeed the President of Youngstown State, and actually, I think we might be coming up on his first year anniversary in the spring now, and he might have been in the position sooner had YSU not had the brief tenure of Randy Dunn sandwiched in there - there was a rumor that Tressel was the favorite initially to replace the President (I forget the name) who was retiring in 2013. He was up for the same position at Akron too.

Given that he would be buried behind Elliott for at least another year, can't blame Dunn.  He sees what Pelini was able to do with Abdullah, and if he goes there is likely saying "that can be me, too."
