BRING ON THE VOLUNTEERS

Michigan will play in the West on Friday as an 8 seed against Tennessee in Charlotte, NC (wtf NC is West?)  - after their win they will likely face Duke

Good friend is a business guy in Charlotte.  I teach and I don't know if my principal will let me go.  Plus, we're preparing for exams and proficiency testing.  If I can't go, I will let y'all know as soon as possible!  Tickets are free to me.  I am checking to see if he'd give them to you, too.  If not, face value.  I will check on face value, etc. for you if I can't use them.

I don't mind the matchup against Tenn.  8 seed is higher than expected, but who cares.

Also, Crisler looked pretty excited when they showed it on TV.  Looked like fun.  Wish I hadn't graduated already, because I would've been there.

Why are people freaking out about Duke?

Michigan played No.1 Ohio State closely all 3 times we played, took another No. 1 to OT in Kansas, and we beat a more talented Duke team with a less talented (of course, all my opinion) Michigan team.

I like the matchup.

Gotta beat Tennessee though, seriously.

If we're really "up" for the game, I think we have a decent chance at winning in the second round.  Duke isn't an invulnerable team by any stretch of the imagination, but it's still going to take excellent shooting and much better rebounding than we saw vs. Ohio State for us to have a chance at beating Duke.

Michigan has almost no chance against Duke, but Tennessee is very winnable.  Getting that first NCAA win would be huge for such a young team.  Also, it would set them up well for next year, when they could become an upper echelon team if a lot of things go right.

How can you say we have "no chance" against Duke?  A lot of people probably thought we were out of it when we started the B1G season 1-6 as well. This team has improved so much over the last half of the season, it would not surprise me at all if they got hot and pulled off the upset. To say we have no chance is ridiculous, that's the best thing about sports, you never know what can happen. Upsets happen Tater and I hope you have to eat crow.

Got a call from my friend in Charlotte.  He has the tickets for all sessions.  Awesome.  Seeing the Maize and Blue after seeing them in Indy would be fantastic.

Principal called.  I can go, but I am going to turn them down.  I just read about Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte.  My girlfriend knows a couple CRNAs there.  I'm giving the tickets to the parents of a little kid who has brain cancer.  They have had a terrible time of it and they are apparently huge basketball fans.  They have had no break from crying and going through hell. I know it would be better to have more Michigan fans there, but to give them to this family is just better.

I apologize.

Who in the fuck are you responding to with this bullshit story? You are rambling about tickets, which who gives a fuck, you can live your e-dream if you want. This story however makes you a sick SOB.

I love this draw.  It's a tough draw, but they all are.  We get two big villains - a stinkin' cheater (Bruce Pearl) and Tennessee, followed by the Dukies.  I've loathed Tennessee ever since they tried to build a larger stadium and then acted like babies when Woodson won the Heisman.  Gotta win this one.

Tenessee is a winnable game! Although, Duke is almost the worst match-up for Michigan. Watching the ACC Champ game yesterday... Nolan Smith completely shutdown Marshall, UNCs PG. Who torched Duke for the ACC outright. Singler shutdown Harrison Barnes who ropped 40 the day before. Those 2 stepped up and dedicated themselves defensively. Game was over 2 minutes in. Singler with shadow THJ all game, I don't see him getting off many 3 balls. Smith is on anoter level than Morris... Adding in the Plumlees who are 2 whities that can jump. Masons like 6'10. Then you add in Steve Curry annd Dawkins dropping 3s. Just sucks they drew Duke.
