Bring on tOSU

Submitted by Lordfoul on

A 4-loss tOSU team came into the Big House and toppled a heavily favored Michigan squad in 2001.  That tOSU team was coming off of a tough loss at home as well.

All is not f&#*ed here.  Anything those dingle-berries from the asscrack of America can do, we can do better.  Light 'em up Denard Robinson.

GO BLUE!

PS - Lighting a candle for Stonum's knee.  That didn't look good in slow mo.

It is now the Game week. I know this is hard but lets keep our heads up. we have the biggest game of the year ahead of us and this would make this year a complete success. The team can do it and anything can happen. GO BLUE.

match up better against OSU than Wisconsin.  If Michigan offense can get off to a fast start, they have a shot of springing an upset over OSU.  Wisconsin, Michigan defense have no chance because they can't stop against the power running game.

I'm a Michigan fan, born and raised in Ohio. For 6 consecutive years I had my birthday ruined by Michigan losses. . . I'd like to start of new steak of depressed Buckeye fans on Thanksgiving weekend.

Honestly, I'd take whatever happened against Wisconsin everytime the week before OSU if it meant that we would be able to beat those asstards in the state South of here. I hate Ohio State more than any other team that plays Michigan. I want Pryor served on a silver platter for Thanksgiving dinner.

But with today's additional injuries to Roh, Smith, etc, it's awfully tough... maybe my outlook will improve as the week goes on, but I doubt it... Not looking forward to dealing with another obnoxious fan base right now...

better against OSU? What do you base that on? Michigan's stalwart defense, their superb special teams... or I know, it must be their efficient mistake free offense?  This team will finish 7-6, accept it and make peace with what's coming. The only question to be asked against OSU...  is the typical one asked before a firing squad... do you want a blindfold or not.

I'm Grumpy.  Grump grump grumpy.  Blah blah blah.  I am fat too.  If I were on the team my teammates would want to kill me.  Blah blah blah.  I root against my team because it makes me feel good win and lose.  I suck at life.  Blah blah blah.

That we see some new formations/packages that we haven't seen yet that have been in RR's back pocket specifically designed for this game. D Rob will lead us over, around and through the evil sweatervest empire and to the land of sweet, sweet victory.

Go Blue. Annihilate tuos.

4 years I have spent hard-earned money on season tickets.  This was the last one.  THis was a fitting end.  I ahve no doubt that one day michigan (quite probably under Rich Rod) will return to greatness, but you are lucky if you werent at michigan these four years like myself

98, 99,  2000, 2001 seasons for me.  I am more in love with Michigan football now that I was when we were expected to win every single game.  The heart in this team and what they have put in to get us to greatness in the future is awesome.  We will all owe them when we are cleaning up in the years to come.  At least you got to see 4 years of Michigan football.  A lot of people can only see it through their tv's.  You don't know how lucky you had it these last 4 years.

I think OSU will be playing the run.  Time to open up the offense and throw to open up the running.  TP could make more mistakes and may be our only hope. Our defense will give up their normal 35+ points to a good team, so the offense will have to be clicking to have any chance against OSU.

I don't get the optimism here.  We're likely looking at a carbon copy next week of what just happened today.  Unless the offense scores on every possession they have in the first half next week, it will be very difficult to win.  O State's defense is as good if not better than Wisconsin's.  Handing off to a RB or the QB keeper won't get it done.  They are predictable plays after a whole year of film and able to be stopped by a well coached defense.  Denard must throw accurately downfield from the beginning of the game for us to have any chance.

I'm pretty sure Wisconsin was quite predictable today and we couldn't stop them.

Those predictable runs got Denard 121 at 5.5 per as well.

Our offense is not where it will be next year or beyond but the main problems lie elsewhere.

To Denard for some nice stats, but isn't it all about the W's? My point was that we may need throw to set up the run, and do it earlier, next week. Playing catch up in Columbus won't be a fun experience.

I thought so at the beggining of the season. I thought so when wiskey beat tOSU. The D may be slightly better, but their offense isn't even close. Wisky's rushing attack should run over our D like a steamroller just on sheer mass.  I'm pretty sure after today that we have a chance at least against the buckeyes,
