Bring on the Boilermakers

Submitted by jhackney on

I have notice the incessant obsession with how dirty they MSU was and the malaise it has immediately created escpecially with the Tigers and Lions going down in spectacular fashion adding on top of it.

Enough obsessing over a team that will be demolished next week and next year. They don't deserve the attention we are all giving them. Remember this quote?: "The pride comes before the fall." And this one?: "Live by the sword, die by the sword."

The Michigan State game is over.

Lets take our cue from someone who actually had to LIVE through the Michigan State game and refocus our attentions:

"You just have to bounce back. But, the thing about this team is, I know for a fact this team will bounce back. Guys are hungry for the next game, and that's the biggest difference in this team."

-Mike Martin

Bring it on Boliermakers.

We will still win the division. MSU will lose to Wisconsin and Nebreaska, they also have to play NW, and Iowa (yes I know Iowa is not great but they have MSU's number).

I knew that we would not go undefeated which obviously meant that we would have to lose sooner or later but I just hate who we lost to. That being said I agree, we lost, now it's time to think about Purdue. 1 extra week to heal, game plan and correct mistakes should help tremendously.

Agree, lets focus on Purdue because having the fan properly focused is critical.  In light of that, who do you think should start at qb?  Really hope someone starts a thread about that.

purdue looked OK against minnesota, but should be no match for our boys in blue.  my prediction is 38-10.  go blue.

sidenote:  wisconsin cannot win by enough points this weekend in EL.

I don't know about others on this blog, over my sixty years I always learned more and grew more from my failures than my successes.  I am so looking forward to seeing the growth of our players and coaches over the rest of the year come what may.

I've been saying all weekend...lil brother is NOT our rival. They validate themselves by playing us. Beating us IS THEIR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. So let them enjoy there little victory. If they dare talk smack, very arrogantly repeat the aforementioned points, smile, then move on. We ARE Michigan, and we will ALWAYS be the top dog in the state, even when we are down. Now let's look to Oct. 29 as prepare to beat down Purdue.

Which is why I hate this being the week before a bye. I have to think about this for longer because we can't go out and kick ass for another 12 days. That must eat at the players and coaches.
