Bring on the Boilermakers
I have notice the incessant obsession with how dirty they MSU was and the malaise it has immediately created escpecially with the Tigers and Lions going down in spectacular fashion adding on top of it.
Enough obsessing over a team that will be demolished next week and next year. They don't deserve the attention we are all giving them. Remember this quote?: "The pride comes before the fall." And this one?: "Live by the sword, die by the sword."
The Michigan State game is over.
Lets take our cue from someone who actually had to LIVE through the Michigan State game and refocus our attentions:
"You just have to bounce back. But, the thing about this team is, I know for a fact this team will bounce back. Guys are hungry for the next game, and that's the biggest difference in this team."
-Mike Martin
Bring it on Boliermakers.
HOKE > HOPE

my anger still lives.
October 16th, 2011 at 8:52 PM ^
I imagine and hope that the players feel that way. A few days rest certainly helps though.

MANBALL LIVES!

24 hour rule. Game ended more than 24 hours ago, out of my system. Bring on Purdue, GO BLUE!

before Purdue :(

We will still win the division. MSU will lose to Wisconsin and Nebreaska, they also have to play NW, and Iowa (yes I know Iowa is not great but they have MSU's number).

Well said, J. Hackney.

Thanks jhackney, it will be a great homecoming for the seniors.

I knew that we would not go undefeated which obviously meant that we would have to lose sooner or later but I just hate who we lost to. That being said I agree, we lost, now it's time to think about Purdue. 1 extra week to heal, game plan and correct mistakes should help tremendously.
October 16th, 2011 at 9:37 PM ^
Agree, lets focus on Purdue because having the fan properly focused is critical. In light of that, who do you think should start at qb? Really hope someone starts a thread about that.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:26 PM ^
Let's put in Jack Kennedy. You can't go wrong with a Zombie President as your starting QB
October 16th, 2011 at 9:40 PM ^
I vote for Marve. Oh, did you mean for us?
October 16th, 2011 at 9:45 PM ^
Thread-worthy.

purdue looked OK against minnesota, but should be no match for our boys in blue. my prediction is 38-10. go blue.
sidenote: wisconsin cannot win by enough points this weekend in EL.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
the last 3 or 4 games we've played with Purdue?

Don't overlook Bye. This is a classic trap game.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:08 PM ^
According to Kirk Cousins, Bye gives him no respect.

I don't know about others on this blog, over my sixty years I always learned more and grew more from my failures than my successes. I am so looking forward to seeing the growth of our players and coaches over the rest of the year come what may.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:04 PM ^
I feel sorry for the boilermakers. They will face a hungry Michigan team ready to make a statement.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:11 PM ^
We get a fresh start against Purdue, and our Division is still up for grabs. We're playing behind the 8 ball a little, but we can get it done.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
yep, we lost, we've had over 24 hours to dwell on it, its time to move on. A B1G 'ship is still within reach.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
Receiver. Give Gardner the start at QB. Denard is clearly regressing as a QB, and I think we need to move on and get Gardner serious reps.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:47 PM ^
Please stop.
October 16th, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
You enjoy a 25% completion percentage, and our actual RBs getting 6 carries per game? Something needs to change or else the Nebraska game will be embarassing.
October 17th, 2011 at 12:08 AM ^
Hokemaniac, I think you are regressing as a poster. Perhaps you should go hang out on another board for a while.
October 17th, 2011 at 12:46 AM ^
I think he's on to something. But why not just put Denard where he really belongs - C? That would free up Molk to rotate in as a running back.
October 17th, 2011 at 7:05 AM ^
Apparently we watch different football and I am way more realistic than everyone else. We need more MANBALL and actual running plays on first down.
October 16th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
I've been saying all weekend...lil brother is NOT our rival. They validate themselves by playing us. Beating us IS THEIR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. So let them enjoy there little victory. If they dare talk smack, very arrogantly repeat the aforementioned points, smile, then move on. We ARE Michigan, and we will ALWAYS be the top dog in the state, even when we are down. Now let's look to Oct. 29 as prepare to beat down Purdue.
October 16th, 2011 at 11:26 PM ^
Yep let's bury that loss. Purdue = W

No matter though.

All Michigan needs to do is win the rest of the Legend games - Iowa & Nebraska
