1. No one likes Drew, that's his thing.  But apparently he wore a "suck it" cap to a press conference or something like that?

2.  I'm not sure where he was going tying in the Ace problem with a lack of an open media policy.  How talking to current players and going to practice is going to prevent made up stuff from players 5 years ago how....?

3.  Anyone get the feeling that Ira gets all of his talking points from reading MGoBlog?

I think he was saying that people crave information this time of year.  They're so thirsty for it they'll crawl through the desert toward a mirage, and when they discover there's no water, they'll drink the sand. So unless you feed the beast with something real, some snake oil salesman will come in and fill the void with ridiculous shit.

If we suddenly had a bunch of tell nothing practice video, or puff pieces on a freshman's mom that people would go....oh, I'm full...I'll ignore this news that shall not be named.  It's just more fodder. And people will eat that up too. I don't think the two are related at all.

Now could they maybe turn stories like that into fish wrap by doing something else to attract the media's attention right after it, in a sleight of hand? Sure. But I don't think that's what he was saying.

I listen virtually every morning, and he talks about plenty of stuff that doesn't even show up on MGoBlog.

Besides, given the new media blackout, it would be difficult to not have some overlap anyhow—there's only so much new info to go around.

As any arguments or viewpoints he has are taken right from Brian's bullet points. Whether it be the Freep, Rich, the spread, etc.  I think he just basically takes Brian's arguments and regurgitates them on the air anytime he wants to point out "facts" to disagree with someone on the air. It just that he got most of them from this site. Or 3&O.

As of about a week ago, my TuneIn Radio app no longer carries WTKA. Is this the case for anyone else?

I know IHeartRadio carries WTKA, but I find myself not listening as often as I did with TuneIn. IHeartRadio is just not as convenient as TuneIn, as it doesn't allow (as far as I know) for the opportunity to pause, rewind, or record the broadcast.

Of course, as we all know, the WTKA app is complete rubbish, so unfortunately that is not a solution.

I listen to it every morning through my Roku.

I just checked the website and Tunein didn't seem to have WTKA on the 2nd page of sports stations where it usually resides.  I then googled "WTKA tunein" and clicked on a result and was presented with a page tunein page that showed the scheduled programs and said it was not available.  Yet when I clicked on the suggestion that was like  "find other stations", it came on with the Big show which is playing right now.  Go figure.

I hope it isn't discontinuing tunein, it has been the only reliable source for WTKA.

My favorite exchange from the show:

Irate caller referring to Denard:

"He's a runner!  He's not a quarterback!"

Brian:

"They snap him the ball..."

Well played Brian.

It sounds like this is against protocol, but it's been brought up here, so I'll ask. Can I get a brief explanation of who he-who-shall-not-be-named is and what he's done to gain so much infamy? Yes I plugged his name into the search bar and all I got was a bunch of threads where people were scolded for talking about him. Much appreciated.
