Glad to hear about Norfleet; I think upsetting Alabama is gonna require some big special team plays.
Gah....why can't it be Saturday?!?!?!?!

Dennis Norfleet got him the ESS EEE CEE speed.
What now Nick Saban?
That was such a special treat that I feel like Brian is either a) heavily medicated or b) not Brian.
Either way, thanks and giddy up!
I Brian RollDamnTide?
Please be true on DL. If Gardner also pans, out and Funchess can play by B1G season, the sky's the limit for this team.
Will we even see any kick returns again with the new rules?
Based on what I saw last night, no. The only kickoffs I saw returned were either ill-advised returns from 8 yards deep or due to squib kick.
I think I seen 3 last night (SC-Vandy game) and the only one that wasn't out of the back of the endzone was when the kicker fell down.
You think you what? I don't demand proper spelling by any means, but this IS a Michigan board... you didn't "seen" anything.
In other news - Insider bits from Brian! Holy hot piss!
Proper spelling? Meh...
Improper use of a past participle? Unforgivable.
Got it!
Yippppppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
all this stuff be true. Except #7. I don't care if that's true or false
Tidbits from Brian = pure Colombian cocaine. Thanks for the fix. Especially pleased to hear 'bout BWC, Norfleet and Darboh.
Awesome stuff! Can't believe you blessed us with this information. Just curious, but are your sources usually overly excited or often critical of the hype? Just trying to balance my emotions and not get too high right now.
OH SCREW IT! BEAT BAMA! 27-24 Michigan! BWWAHAHAHAHAHA
Don't do this with my emotions.
Can I dream of the following first three drives?
1. KO return TD by Norfleet.
2. Sack by BWC to kill 1st Bama drive.
3. QB oh noes from DR to DG for 70 yd TD.
I kid, I kid. This is like a maraschino cherry on top of the sundae of this week's content.
Particularly glad to hear that Norfleet is turning heads on returns. Maybe this will take special teams to rarefied (for us, lately) meh+ territory?
Why not Funchess as a wide receiver? Watching his film it looks like he's got a while to go on his blocking. Plus I think hen could contribute as a wideout now considering our other receivers aren't that proven yet.
At tight end, I'd think he wants to start grooming as many as he can now.
2.) I have heard some rumblings that Gardner is instantly our best WR and "elite" when he plays the position. The staff obviously needed to feel comfortable with Bellomy in order to allow this to occur in the first place.
4.) Norfleet was a great late pickup by Hoke last year. Wouldn't it be something if he was our version of Sproles? I hope he takes the opening kickoff to the house, would really give the team a boost.
6.) I've heard similar reports regarding Rawls and Fitz. Fitz has the advantage in terms of wiggle and vision with the latter Rawls will only improve in with game experience. I believe that Rawls will be fine in this game because of his power which will give us more positive gains even if he isn't as explosive.
8.) I'm not sure what to think about the DL situation. I've heard conflicting reports to this opinion about Campbell. I know he will be solid against out B1G schedule, but against an OL like Bama I'm not sure.
... not very odd.
2) those are just rumblings and not even close to reality.
4) I am extremely anxious to see me some NORTH FLEET
anyone have advice on the best mobile app/site to get up-to-the-minute CFB scores and PbP?
I am set for M - MgoBlog and WTKA on I-Heart - but will be unfortunately on a jobsite most of the day tomorrow prior to our game and hope to know as soon as OSU, PSU, and ND lose (wishful thinking).
Thanks in advance. Go Blue!!
As an app. Though I prefer CBS sports as a site...
Yeah, I use Scorecenter for scores and such.
Gridiron is excellent for schedule info.
I've used CBS site a lot before but not on a mobile. May try the ESPN app as well.
In addition to ESPN ScoreCenter there's also a dedicated ESPN CFB app. It doesn't work remarkably better or anything, but it does give you the ability to flag certain games to be displayed on one panel, and gives you scores, last play, and time updates live for each. Still buggy and laggy, but decent.
CBS sports sportacular and fox sports are also good options
Oh no, our kick coverage is going to suck.

Norfleet: +1 for the star gazers that were BEGGING the staff to take Norfleet after he dominated the 7v7 circuit. I'm just happy that Vince Smith, Gallon, Dileo and Norfleet may have given this staff the confidence in the little guys.
Offense Post-Denard: IMO it'll look a lot like the Patriots offense with some wildcat/spread option type stuff sprinkled in
Darboh: Heard he's currently fringe 2-deep (not counting the slot guys)
DL: I've got a boner from Brian's comments. YESSSS!!!
DL pt 2: Yup still there.
DL pt 3: Yup...jk, but continuing with the line...I think "multiple" is the word to describe them. I think "versitle" is another. I'm going to enjoy watching Mattison use them all to their strengths.
[passes out]
Damn! This info has me pumped for tomorrow
Good stuff. I'm especially excited to see Gardner at WR, someone with his athleticism needs to be on the field. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a few throws from there this season either.
Also, fantastic news about Norfleet after all the suffering on special teams over the past few years.
Cool update, thanks Brian. We have reasons to be optimistic. If Denard can throw, Michigan can win. Punt returns might be exciting for Michigan in a good way.
Is there a pop quiz on Saturday for all this week’s material . . . say around 8:00 ET?
in the hour or so since he posted the prediction, so the assumption is yes.
Since it's all good news, though, it would change my prediction from 10-4 to 11-3. Especially the DL bit.
Sources or GTFO. This isn't Nam. There are rules.

Why does Western Michigan Goalie Dude care?
Good god I hope the MGOMASSES are right about Rawls. It's one thing to do it in practice vs. doing it when the bullets are flying against Bama. Fitz Is just sick with his vision and making people miss, plus he runs tough. So happy to hear that we finally have a legit return threat. I think the receiver core will come along just fine.
This all makes me happy and I shall drink to this and sleep peacefully tonight knowing all will be well tomorrow night in JerryWorld.
i just a seizure...
I hope Dennis Northville decides to take out every kick, no matter where he catches it. Even if it's out of bounds.
Careful stenographer mean!?
Need moar answers!
Wonderful stuff! Thanks for reporting this.
Is this the "highlights" of what they told you (i.e., did they also share pessimistic info) or everything?
They also told him the outcome of the game but he doesn't want to ruin it for us.
When I saw this post, I had to do a double-take to make sure it wasn't some joker who had taken Brian's avatar and was posting under a similar-looking name to fool us.
slightly giddy.
And Brian is that uncle who keeps looking out the window and saying that he can hear sleigh bells. SRSLY UNCLE BRIAN???!!
RAMPAGE
Thank God for Brian's signature or I wouldn't have known where to buy HTTV 2010.
Optimism rising after this mgoboard cameo from Brian.
I just hope the multiple fronts are seamless. Last year I was always confused that teams didn't snap the ball when we did had guys popping up and down and moving around on the line to realign strength with strength. I was always taunt when you see that on offense you just snap the maul, the guard mauls the DT that popped up since he has instant leverage (can't play low when you're standing up) and the RB slams through that gap. Pretty much 5+ yards every time. We did it so often and I was confused as to why opposing coaches weren't prepping their offensives to exploit it.
Regarding Gardner, Bellomy, I've been hearing the same things for what it is worth. I've heard Bellomy advanced as a Shane Morris like substance. Bellomy lacks the arm strength of Morris, but supposedly is similiar in his ability to make reads and other things scouts love about Morris. What people have told me is that the staff is hoping Gardner ends up loving WR and the fact he is instantly dominate at it. So he'll be happy there as a future 1st round NFL pick. That way Bellomy rolls on in next year and the offensive overhaul happens. Morris likely passes him on the depth chart and things move forward from there. Basically a nice no drama personal adjustment where everyone wins.
"Borges won't overhaul the offense until Denard is gone, and after that it does sound like a highly multiple offense with tight ends all over and formations switching willy-nilly. "
I give the Al Borges a lot of credit for taking the OC job and inheriting a QB who was electric but not in his personal wheelhouse as offenses go and building one that combines his tendencies with the power of Dilithium and made it work very well overall. Michigan is recruiting to better suit what they would like to do long term, but the compliment paid to Denard by an incoming staff should not be overlooked.
"The DL is "legit." Campbell is "the real deal." I know, this would be wonderful and is hard to believe, but this is just me playing careful stenographer."
That is awesome to hear. If there is anyone that I would like to see have a great year, it's BWC. He's endured through trials and tribulations of both the program and some that were self-made, but he's taken on a leadership role willingly and that shows how much he has matured in a short span really.
Oh goddamnit now I want to lay $20 on us after being a downer piece of shit for the last three months.
Excited to hear about the young WRs making good. This team needs a deep threat opposite Roundtree, and either would be a welcome addition.
Also, still skeptical about BWC but, man, a good final year out of him would be awesome.
Brian F. Cook fishin for mgopoints... tsk, tsk, tsk.
For failure to use any one of the INSIDERZZZZ tags.
No
I'm going to miss Denard. :(
BWC = Rambo. Murdock = Bama
I can has DL?
than the mega thread covering the MSU Boise game.
Highlight vid reminiscent of McGuffie but with better speed. A playmaker with breakout ability. Great upside. Tremendous cutting abilility Hope he doesn't get hurt.

Oh sweet Jesus... if this is true, I'm going to waste SO much money drinking celebratory beers at the bar tomorrow.
So much to look forward to. Bring on the season!
