Source? Link? Depth of information/interest?

But there's a dude named Brian Cook who plays for the Lakers.

What's cool is that even though Brian Cook played at Illinois, he likes Michigan enough to blog about them, too.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:44 PM ^
and by lakers he means clippers.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:48 PM ^
he played for the Lakers at one point and the NBA sucks. There are like 4 people who read this blog who would know that he plays for the Clippers now. I get at least partial credit.

It's easy to forget the Clippers exist, even for people who follow the NBA

The Clippers are the new LA team now. This just goes to show you how many band wagon fans there are in LA. They just latch onto whatever team is hot, and with Chris Paul and Griffin, the Clippers are now the hot ticket.
My friend used to have season tickets to the Clippers and would get calls from them all the time asking for him to buy tickets again. So many people have jumped on the Clipper band wagon they are not looking for any new season ticket holders.

This subject makes no sense to me.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:39 PM ^
Uh...Trending on what?
December 30th, 2011 at 11:40 PM ^
but he's got the wrong Brian Cook.

I realized the second part as I was posting, but I had to actually go to a few sites that have "trending" to figure out what he meant.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:41 PM ^
the trend has passed.
for the uninitiated-i was referring to twitter.
December 30th, 2011 at 11:48 PM ^
Can it really be called a trend?
<br>

A trend: No
Sex: Yes

Twitter, I'm assuming?
Pretty sure they're talking about the Laker player...[link]
December 30th, 2011 at 11:51 PM ^
I honestly thought the NBA Brian Cook had been out of the league for a while, meaning that our Brian was the trending topic. I follow the NBA pretty closely and hadn't heard his name in a while.

It turns out there are actually a few famous Brian/Bryan Cooks. One is a member of a band called Hindu Love Gods.

You have a rather loose definition of "famous"
December 31st, 2011 at 12:01 AM ^
is not also the Brian Cook of the Hindu Love Gods?

Wow, worst thread of the year 1 day before its over.

This isn't as bad as anything Ziff creates.

If you really wanted to go in depth you could search #BrianCook or "Brian Cook" and see what people were saying in said tweets that lead to the trending of Brian Cook. Then you'd see if it's an NBA player, blogger or Hindu singer guy. It's probably not our Briann, but I'm pulling for him.

I wonder if, for a time, Brian (our Brian) was trending because twitter was blowing up with questions about how he has time to play for the Clippers, tour with the Hindu Love Gods, AND administer and write content for MGoBlog.
He truly is multi-talented, and we are lucky he took the time out of his busy NBA / tour schedule to make this space for the MGoCommunity.

his "convenient" break announcement, just in time for the NBA season to start. Something had to give.

I just read this whole thread and asked myself 5 questions. . .why, why, why, why, why?

Why is Brian Cook from the Clippers trending?
