Breaston to the Saints

VIA ESPN. Great move.

Wide receiver Steve Breaston reached agreement on a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints on Monday, a league source said.

Breaston, 29, had been dealing with knee inflammation earlier this offseason, but his agent, Eric Metz, told ESPN in March that MRIs performed on Breaston's knee revealed nothing alarming and he is medically cleared to continue his NFL career.

At the time he had been considering to have the Regenokine knee procedure in Germany, but decided against it.

During the procedure, a small cup of blood is removed from the patient, and then it is incubated at a slightly elevated temperature and spun in a centrifuge to make serum that's injected to combat inflammation that may resolve the player's knee irritation.

Breaston had been released by the Kansas City Chiefs in February.

He had been lured to Kansas City in 2011 by former coach Todd Haley and general manager Scott Pioli, and signed a $22.5 million, five-year deal. But he fell out of favor last season under coach Romeo Crennel, catching seven passes for 74 yards in 10 games.

in case you missed it

Glad Stevie didn't get doomed to the Lions.  God knows the Lions couldn't use another receiver across from Calvin. o.O

Thanks for sharing!  Great for Stevie to have such an incredible QB throwing his way.  That being said: ICYMI? Copying and pasting the entire article?  Really?

This will be great for Steve. QB who can hit him in stride and an offensive system that will get him the ball in space. Hope his knee is healthy and he has a huge year.

Good for Breaston.  The passing game should be beast with Brees and the other receivers they have.  Hopefully he can stay healthy.
