The Braylon Edwards Show on ESPN Classic @ 5PM EST
Just wanted to give folks a heads up. If you wanna get pumped up for the game this Saturday (more than you already are obviously), then I just wanted to let you know that the Mich/Mich St 2004 game (aka The Braylon Edwards Show) is on ESPN Classic in 40 minutes.
Maybe Sparty can pull it out this time...haha...poor little brother. It must suck to only "win" one every 5 to 7 years or so (I put win in quotation marks for obvious reasons...clockgate.)
That is all.

When I first read the title I thought Braylon literally got his own TV show. Anyway, this is by far my favorite MSU/UM game. The emotions in the 4th quarter and after were such a roller coaster. Got this game saved on my comp, love it

Sorry I got your hopes up with the title. That would be a fuckin sweet show. I'd watch. It would be way better than Tim Biakabutuka's bitch Eddie George's show on BTN.

The game is also available OnDemand from BTN.

I recommend getting the full version from mgovideo since these re-airs butcher the hell out of the game.

They also sell an "official" DVD of the game at Moe's or M-Den (can't remember which). If I remember correctly, it uses Brandstatter's radio call instead of the ABC/ESPN audio feed.
I remember being at that game when the place started emptying out midway through the 4th. Not only did it look grim, but it was cold as shit too...the game was a weird 4:15 start or something like that, so all the people in my section who showed up in shirtsleeves or without a jacket decided to haul ass out of there as the swirling winds picked up and MSU looked to have put things away.
For the record and with all due respect to Braylon's heroics, I still think Avant's TD catch (in double OT I believe?) might have been the best of the game. Still don't know how he got that foot down.

Totally butchered. Didn't even show Braylon TD to tie game 27-27.

...but Tate's great-great-grandpa played fuckin amazing in that game. Shoulda won the Heisman (even though it didn't exist at the time).

During the broadcast Bowden mentions how they talked to Mike Hart during the week and described him as a "handsome kid with a nice smile" which, while sorta weird, is pretty accurate. That and the fact that Mike was not one to shy from the microphone has me wondering if he'll ever try to give it a go as an announcer/analyst whenever his football career is over.

He'd be a better one than most.

He's on record saying that he would like to coach at Michigan one day.

In 2004 I was a senior in high school down in Louisiana. I had started applying to Michigan a few days before the MSU game that year. I was looking at the tv guide and saw that Michigan was on ABC so I thought I'd take a look and see what was going on. This was the first Michigan game I was watching since the 1994 Colorado game. At the time Michigan was down 17 points in the 4th quarter but I thought I'd watch for a few minutes. Well Michigan kept scoring and I was really getting into the game. When Michigan finally won and the crowd was going wild I knew where I was going to college.

2007 M/MSU is tomorrow at 2pm on Classic.
Never realized the wind was so heavy in this game. I watched the first half at a random sports bar in Atlanta, and the second half at the old Atlanta Alumni bar because I was so frustrated by Stanton's performance and there were a bunch of State brahs at the first place I was at. I remember looking at the clock with about 8 min left and thinking if they're going to comeback it HAS to happen RIGHT NOW...it did. Everything went our way. The rest was history. What a game. Braylon showed why he deserved to wear that #1 jersey.

What's up with DirecTV pulling ESPN Classic off of their Choice Plus package? That, along with taking down Versus, is a pretty crappy deal. Say good-bye to DirecTV for me when my contract is up in Feb.
