Braylon Edwards is fast becoming my least favorite Wolverine

Braylon Edwards comments inn the Det News adds nothing of value to the discussion of Wolverine Football. his comments here sound just like some national reporter that is just poping off at the mouth. He comes off ill informed and and entitled.http://www.detnews.com/article/20100617/SPORTS0201/6170470/1131/U-M-s-B…

Braylon has done a lot for the University and although I don't agree with everything he says, he has the right to his opinion and has earned a lot of respect for the positive things off of the field that he has done.

he is entitled to his opinion.  However his allusion does not reflect the facts of Michigan Football in my opinion.  I acknowledge he's done a great deal for Michigan Football both on and off the field.  His charity work and his foundations speak for themselves.

Braylon's comments come off like he's read an article from some national sports writer that has not done his homework, in my opinion.

He always has been frustrating on and off the field. He's like the stock market. Hopefully he'll bounce back and have a good year with the Jets, not a great one cause I'd rather see Miami or the Pats in the Super Bowl before the J E T S

I always cringe when I hear ex players making predictions and things like that, especially the week of the osu game. With msu it's funny cause it's hard to take them serious but osu is different.

I wonder what he will say when RRod does turn it around?

Really.

Is it because the sportswriters say so?  Is it because guys on sportstalk radio say that "Rich Rod needs to win X number games this year..."?  As if "Rich Rod" wins games.  Last I checked, there was no jersey with his name on it.  Student-athletes play the games, and for the last couple of years, we haven't had as many great ones as in previous years.

What about this:  "The Michigan football program needs to show continued improvement and positive development."

But what makes anything "make of break"?

Frankly, if the team loses two games in 2010, those are two weeks that I will be sorely disappointed.  But does that "make" the year?  Conversely, is there anybody here who can say with certainty that, "In the coming football season, no matter what, it will be such a profound failure if we win only 5 or 6 games, that we must fire Rich Rodriguez."

I suppose that somebody might say that about an NBA franchise, or maybe a major league baseball team.  I don't know; I don't follow or care about professional sports all that much.  What we are tallking about here is the University of Michigan, and 125 of its student-athletes.  I don't measure that on wins and losses in a single year, or even three years.

Of course, it won't stop sportstalk radio hosts from declaring that "Rich Rod must win [pick a number] games."  That's what they do.  Spend hour upon hour, selling advertisements for personal injury and divorce lawyers, talking about hot chicks on a tv show last night, and trying to figure out if Rich Rodriguez needs to win 7, or 8, or 9 games to hang onto his job.  When it is all meaningless and pointless.  David Brandon certainly doesn't think that way, and he's the only guy who matters.

Say it with me..."I will never matter more to Michigan Football than someone who has given blood, sweat and tears as a player, a true part of the program who has helped make it what it is." all these threads with people saying they have an opinion that they don't like someone else having an opinion...
