Brandon Peters ranked #3 at Elite 11, Day 2

Submitted by MayOhioEatTurds on

So they tell us the second day of Elite 11 Competition is more difficult:  Instead of throwing in a vaccuum, QBs throw to non-elite WRs against a non-elite defense.  The object is to make throws and score touchdowns.

Brandon Peters was 6/6 for two touchdowns.  As a result, 247 ranks him 3rd out of all QB prospects based on day 2's performance.  This ranking does not include day 1 performance, at which Peters was also solid.

247 writes:

"Quietly, Peters continues to be one of the most consistent performers in this Elite 11 group. There was never a doubt on any of his throws, he spun it well and put it on the money for every throw. Rarely do you see Peters throw a wobbler or skip a football."

Peters:

1 for 1 on a slant

2 for 2. Gain of 10

3 for 3. TD on a post into the end zone

4 for 4 on an option route

5 for 5 on a deep curl over the middle.

6 for 6 on a short option route in the end zone

Barton something of 247 was giving good description of each throw, but since Peters was second to last to go, we get this.

How does Peters vitals below (from 247 today) compare to the last great athletic drop-back QB we had named Drew Henson?

"Brandon Peters at 6-4.5 ran a 4.81 40. 4.39 shuttle. 31 inch vertical. All good numbers"

That is pretty damn athletic! for a dropback QB.  He beat out some Wide Recievers and DBacks.  Heck, what did Avant, Walker, Funchess, Mike Hart, Chris Perry, Minor etc... run?

Heading into day 4, Brandon Peters checks in at #11. Rutgers commot Russo is #2! Hopefully BP will move up as the 7 on 7 progresses!
