Apparently, the year Maxwell was in camp, there were 7 QBs there that eventually got drafted, and another that later on signed with Denver in the free agency, which is pretty freaking amazing. That being said, the year after that, 0 of the 11 QBs were drafted and only 5 of them were signed in free agency (Gardner among them).
Note - of the 7 QBs that were drafted none of them have starter spots, except maybe Geno Smith (I don't care about the Jets enough to know about their QB situation). The year before that though, included Andrew Luck, Blaine Gabbert, EJ Manuel, all of whom were first round picks (with only Luck still retaining a starter spot).
So yeah, its really hit or miss.

For guys who might not play against top shelf competition, it's a good idea to get out there with the "best" to see where they stack in comparison. And it's good to get the coaching and feedback that you may not normally receive if you're just practicing in your neighborhood park.
There's a 7-on-7 event with a lot of top talent, and its never bad to have someone wearing a Michigan hat (or maybe shirtless with khakis) hanging around when other potential targets are near.
i.e. Its good for recruiting

to #ExposureU and #SumerSwarm, right?
It's just a chance for the kids to see another perspective (I think the E11's are heald by some current/ almost current NFL QBs).

Congrats. Interesting that multiple teams from the East division got a QB in there, Rutgers, Maryland, Michigan State, Michigan obviously and I think Penn State.
Good to hear. The more coaching, reps, and experience practicing with top level talent that he gets while still in high school the better.
