but a part of the selfish fan in me wants him to be slighted, wants him to have a bit of a chip coming in. He's clearly a top 5 QB regardless of PS/PP/DT categorization. Oddly, correct me if wrong but I think we missed on a couple guys before going after Peters. I think he was at least seen to be Harbaugh's 3rd-4th choice. Weren't there a few California kids alone that he wanted first? Either way I think he may very well be the best suited for UM of not the best overall.

time under Harbaugh.

Regardless whether it's O'Korn, Morris, Gentry or Peters playing there will be better competition and I think the winner will have a much higher ceiling than Rudock.

I think he gets a RS no matter what but that would be great. I think he'll get the RS unless we have literally no other option because Harbaugh is building and not going to cut corners. He'll never not want to win or cede a game but putting a True and RS FR are different no matter the ability. Luck was given a RS, iirc. I can't imagine Luck wasn't the better option even as a True FR but the payoff of that learning year is worth it. Great teams flood the field with 3-5th year players every year. Only the best of the best True FR play on great teams and it's not by accident. We need to get back to recruiting great players that know what they're doing before even seeing major time.

Stars aren't a big deal to most of us as we trust Harbaugh's judgment, but him getting that 5th star, in conjunction with our OL class, could help in recruiting some big time skill players this cycle and next.
